    hey guys, hey guys!!!
This is a very helpful thread for me!
I am in the process of renewing my tourist visa, and I hope I don't need to go for an interview.
I have already sent in my applications and stuff, including my new and old passports with the expired visas in it. (I think they expired more thatn 10 years ago...) I hope I could get them renewed without having any trouble! hehehe!

Those jerks would try to intimidate you BUT DON'T LET THEM. Look those suckers straight in the eye and answer them clearly. It wouldn't hurt to do some research about the place you'd be staying and what kind of job you're seeking.

they're not really JERKS per se.. They are just doing their jobs. And that's to screen applicants properly.

Last year, my sister was in the same situation. I don't know if it is possible, but she applied for her tourist visa thru "mailbox", meaning you need not go to the US embassy for an interview.

I think you have a good chance of getting your visa renewed if at the time specified in your visa, you indeed travelled to the US...plus of course, you must be sure you didn't exceed your maximum stay requirement.

AMEN!

'di naman mood dependent *** interview, the interviewer is somehow objective naman and not that emotionally attached. besides, we're talking about us embassy interview here and not job interviews, he he!

thanks vampaeh. 'just curious, since it's a renewal, may i ask what happened during the first time you applied for a visa before, how's that interview? you are an h-1b visa holder, right? or a tourist one?

off topic: mukhang nag-kaka-unawaan na kayo ni forsaken, he he! biro lang!

    Hello gals,

Pls advise naman any of you, ano ba kailangan requirements having a US tourist visa? Kailangan ba na meron kang Bank account or prove of investment? Ano ba possible na kailangan if u apply for independent tourist visa? Or kailangan ba nila ng invitation coming from any of your relatives from US? Pls advise naman o, its give me a big help, thanks

    Cool hey!

do you still remember me? i posted my questions over here at this thread regarding my US Visa Interview...after passing it...i am now here in New York! It's really so nice here but i am not actually in the city though, I am here in Upstate NY. I like it here much more than the city...
Basta ang masasabi ko lang, for those who have schedules at the US Embassy, just get all the documents you think would support you in whatever questions the Embassy personnel might ask you. It sometimes help, though you're not really sure if they will really look at your documents...anyways, it's always nice to be prepared, isn't it....
So goodluck to all of you people....Keep it up!
