This film tells the story of the trajectory of Perry's career as gospel singer Katheryn Hudson until the present day as pop singer and global superstar Katy Perry, bearing testimony from Katy (real name Katheryn) about her childhood, talking about the Teenage Dream era, with scenes from backstage of her last world tour while trying to take time to resolve personal problems, including her divorce from English comedian Russell Brand. The interim scenes document her last world tour, the California Dreams Tour, and were recorded on November 23, 2011 at Staples Center, Los Angeles.

• Promo Duration: Aug 24 - Aug 27, 2012

Promo Mechanics:

1. A thread will be created where a promo question is published. The thread will be created in the PinoyExchange Promo forum as well as in the Movie sub-forum.
2. Participants should answer the question correctly and provide contact details after answering the question.
3. Participants who correctly answered the movie question will qualify for the prizes.
4. Winners will be selected randomly by inputting all entries in an excel sheet and picking a number using a randomizer (www.random.org).
5. The entry where the number of the row matched the number provided by the randomizer wins.
6. Multiple entries are not allowed. Should a participant submit multiple entries, only their first entry will be considered. All other entries will be excluded from the list before picking the winners.
7. One promo question will be posted within the duration of the promo.
8. There will be ten (10) winners in total.
9. Winners will be notified by private message in PinoyExchange, announcement in the promo thread, and through SMS.
10. The promo will end on Aug 27, 2012 (Monday) in the movie promo thread.

How to Join & Who are Eligible to Join:

1. Registered PinoyExchange members are eligible to join. They must have a PinoyExchange username.
2. Only those who registered and submitted entries before the final deadline are eligible to join.
3. Employees of Havoc Digital, Solar UIP, and its third party partners up to second degree of consanguinity are not qualified to join the promo.

How to Register:

1. Go to www.pinoyexchange.com and click on register. Fill up the form to create an account.
2. Go to your e-mail and click the link provided in the confirmation message.

Provision on Valid Entries:

1. Participants should answer the promo question completely
2. Participants must provide the contact details completely
3. Answers should be sent within the cut-off period.

Provision on Invalid Entries:

1. The second and succeeding entries of a single participant will be invalid.
2. Entries with incomplete details will be invalid.
3. Entries with incorrect answers will be invalid
4. Entries submitted after the cut-off period will be invalid.
5. Username will be checked when an entry is selected. If the username does not appear in the PinoyExchange database, the entry will be invalid.

Prizes:

1. Get a chance to win one of the ten (10) winners who will win two (2) Advance Screening tickets of KATY PERRY: PART OF ME on August 28, Tuesday, 7:30PM at SM Megamall Cinema 1.
   Note: Prizes are non-transferable and non-convertible to cash.

Determination of Winners:

1. Entries will be encoded in an excel sheet.
2. Second and succeeding entries from one participant will be deleted from the excel sheet.
3. A randomizer will be opened (www.random.org) and the first and last number of the entries will be inputted in the randomizer.
4. A random number will be generated to determine the winner.
5. Screen shots of the process will be saved.
6. PinoyExchange.com reserves the right in picking winners for the duration of the promo.

Announcement of Winners:

1. The winners will be announced in PinoyExchange after the announced cut–off period.
2. The list of winners will be announced in the promo thread and the relevant sub-forum.
3. The winners will be messaged personally through their PinoyExchange account.
4. The winners will be contacted via SMS using the mobile number they provided.

Control Measures:

• Screenshots of the promo as well as the messages to the winner will be kept for a minimum duration of six (6) months.

Claiming of Prizes:

1. Winners can claim the prizes on the day of the special movie screening after the winners are announced.
2. Winners can claim the tickets on the venue of the special movie screening.
3. Unclaimed prizes after the special movie screening date will be forfeited.

You'll know how she started her career and become the first singer to have five #1 singles in the Billboard Pop songs chart, even defeating Madonna, The Beatles and Micheal Jackson



You also can enjoy the hits of Katy performing in the film with lively colors and exceptional outfits. Sing with her as the music plays in every beat. See the real Katy Perry herself in the ups and down of her life. You can know who Katy Perry really is on how she interacts with her fans to the backstage and to witness how very down to earth this person can be. The film would inspire a lot, as you can see fans of all ages roaring in her performances, infecting all her fans with that Katy Perry enigma that inspires them to follow and reach for that dream she always knew she can have.



Overall this is a must watch to all Katy Perry fans and it's not too late to become one. We admit that we love her songs and even love her more after watching this film. We feel a real Katy that beyond her blue hair and colorful outfits, she is a charismatic, goofy and sweet person living a charismatic life. We'll always love and believe in her weirdness.

I watched her Teenage Dream tour here and enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to this movie and thanks to PEx for the free tix for tonight's movie.

Katy was the second artist to accomplish that but the first female to do so. Michael Jackson was the first one.

I saw the movie last night, thanks to PEx.

After watching Part of Me, I really felt bad for Katy. Maybe you really can't have it all.

[spoiler start]But I'm happy that she found her real 'self' after all those years na pinipilit siyang maging Avril Lavigne/Kelly Clarkson -- caught on tape! (that part when the music exec admitted that she stole Katy's files was funny).[spoiler end]

I am not a Katy Perry fan but I really enjoyed this movie. Obviously the chance to get to know about her in this format is limited because it has the audience as spectators. But it was a good and informative movie of seeing Katy Perry's journey to success.
