We would like to invite all employees in the Mckinley Hill area who are into BASKETBALL. This tournament was organized for companies in the area.

The tourney will start this September. Interested parties just post here.

1ST MCKINLEY INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT RULES:

A. Format:
1. The tournament will use an Olympic-style format.
2. 2 pts awarded for a win, 1pt for a loss; in case of a tie in points, it will be point difference (points for minus points against); if there is still a tie, a one game playoff will be used to decide seeding.
3. Single round-robin format (each team plays the opposition once, except themselves)
If there are less than 8 teams, there will only be one group.
4. If there are 8 or more teams, there will be appropriate brackets or groups assigned through drawing of lots.
5. After the end of the eliminations, the top 4 teams will advance to the knockout stage.
6. In the Knockout format, if there are at least 8 teams participating, there will be a crossover format (e.g. 1st placer of group A will play 4th placer of group B and so on). If tournament is less than 8, only the top 4 teams will advance with 1 vs. 4 & 2 vs. 3

B. Qualifications:
1. The player must be an employee of the participating Company.
2. Players must submit a photocopy and present their respective company ID before the game starts for verification.
3. Players without a valid identification (Company ID), player/s shall not be allowed to participate.
4. Each team can have only one player above 6 feet; all the other team members should be 5’11 and below.

C. Team Composition:
1. Teams can submit a maximum of 20 players in their line up. Each team must also designate a coach, assistant coach, manager, captain & vice-captain. These people are the only ones who can speak to the referees in the event of disputed calls or altercations.
2. A maximum of 15 players can dress up and play in a game and must be submitted by the coach before the start of the game.
***Note: Team Members/Player limitations is subject to change and can be disregarded by the committee (includes the official referee and league officials) only.
3. The line up that will be submitted before the team's first game will be their final line up. No changing of players after the first game.
***Note: Line ups will be consolidated and a disqualification will apply once proven that the team has violated section B1.

D. Team Uniforms:
1. All teams must wear/have their own uniform.
2. Teams who fail to wear their uniform will be penalized with “two technical free throws” prior to the ball throw and before the start of the second half to the advantage of the opposing team.
3. For some valid reason, a player does not have the current uniform of the team and a previous uniform of the team, same color with a different number from any in the set of the current uniform may be used with prior league approval.
4. Numbers assigned to players will be permanent throughout the tournament. Allowed numbers are from 00 to 99. Fraction (1/2) or three digit (000) are not allowed by the league.
5. Under t-shirt will only be allowed if it is of the same color as the uniform.
6. If opposing teams have the same color of uniforms, one of the teams will be requested to wear an under shirt of a different color.
7. Any player caught removing his uniform during the game period will be charged with “Unsportsmanlike conduct” and will be warned with EJECTION



E. Playing Time:
1. The game plays a 20-minute period in the first half running time and a 20-minute period in the second half with the last 2 minutes on stopwatch.
***Note: The running time in both periods will include 45-second time outs and 24-second injury time outs.
2. In case of a tie at the end of regular game time, 5-minute overtime period(s) follows to break the tie.
3. Games will be played on running time but will be stopped on free-throws, committee time-outs and upon referees call for technicalities only; otherwise team time outs are within running time as well except for the last two minutes of each half.
4. Clock will be stopped every time the referee blows the whistle in the last 2 minutes of the regular time and on overtime periods.
5. Any player who arrives after the initial tip-off will be allowed to play only in the 2nd half. Once the 2nd half starts and the player arrives, he can no longer participate for that game only

F. Forfeiture/Default Game:
1. Default game is 5 minutes after scheduled game time and the team concerned needs at least 5 players to start the game.
2. Only the league officials can postpone, cancel or reschedule games due to an unforeseen event. If both teams can not play as scheduled, both teams lose by forfeiture/default and both teams earn 1 point each.
3. 2 points will be awarded to a team if their opponent forfeits a game.

G. Time-Outs:
1. Teams are allowed 5 time outs (three 30 second and two 45 second) in a game. If not specified, a 45 second time out applies.
2. Unused time outs cannot be carried over in case of overtime. Only a 30 second time out is allowed per overtime period.
***Note: All time-outs are in running time. Stopwatch applies if used during the last 2 minutes of each half or last 2 minutes of an overtime period.

H. Bench Personnel:
1. Only the coach, his assistant coach, manager, 5 reserved players and the 15 players designated to play will be allowed on the bench; these personnel need to be declared on the team roster.
2. Suspended and injured players are not allowed on the bench. Team followers are not allowed on the bench.
3. Only the coach or his designated assistant is allowed to be standing within the coach’s box (designated team bench) at anytime.
4. Coaches and players must be in Team Uniforms at all times while they are on their respective benches.

I. Ejections:
1. WHEN THE COACH IS EJECTED, THE Assistant Coach takes over followed by the Captain & the Vice-Captain.
2. The referee has the digression EJECT to anyone in their respective organization for conduct unbecoming, physical or verbal abuse to any officials, players and representative of an organization.
3. Players involved in a fight on the hard court will automatically be ejected plus a possible suspension to take effect immediately or upon video review by the league officials and/or the technical committee. The same applies to other team players who invade the hard court from the sideline or stands in sympathy of friends.
4. Any bench personnel who cross-over the live court during an altercation will be suspended for one game.
5. A SECOND TECHNICAL FOUL/UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT CALLED ON THE SAME INDIVIDUAL RESULTS IN AUTOMATIC EJECTION.
6. Technical foul(s) count as personal fouls as well and add to the 5 foul disqualification rule.

J. Technicalities:
1. In the event of close calls or the referees cannot determine or make a clear decision, video replay will be used. This feature will only be used to determine ball possession, confirmation of 3 point shots, hard fouls or on-court altercations.
2. If a player is misrepresented, he is immediately expelled from the team and suspended from participation in the league.
3. All won games where the disqualified player has participated in will be reversed into point deductions and credited to the opposing teams.
 E.g. Disqualified player has contributed 50 points to the team; 50 points will be removed from his team and added to the opposing team.
4. A player who causes trouble (fist fight) during a game, whether the player is participating as a team player or in the crowd as a team follower will be disqualified from playing in the league.
5. All warnings announced by the committee serve as a warning to both teams involved in game play.


H. Quota:
1. Quota must be paid in half before the tournament starts. The other half must be paid on the team's first game. If a team was proven to violate sec. B1, quota will not be given back to the team.
2. Quota per team is 8000Php; payment terms will be as stated in H1

i dont think so sir.. since the teams should be composed of employees of the same company. pero if you're interested, paki contact po yung mga officials.specially si sir gary. maybe he can work something out for you..
