    Pabor ka ba na sa holiday bawiin ng schools yung mga sinuspend nilang klase?

    Nakita ko sa internet sa isang article ng declaration of holidays, comment section na may school na babawiin ang mga pasok na nawala dahil sa habagat gamit yung darating na holidays. Tingin niyo, ayos ba ito? Hindi ba parang nawala na din yung saysay na pag commemorate nung holiday kung hindi rin igugunita? O tingin niyo ayos naman ito kasi yung ibang tao wala namang kinalaman sa holiday na yun?

    yeah, somehow. kawawa naman kasi mga estudyante. andaming school days ang nasususpend pag malakas ang ulan/bagyo.

    Wala namang nakalagay dun sa article na pinost mo na babawiin ng schools yung mga araw na walang pasok dahil sa holidays ah. At iba din yung suspended classes dahil sa bagyo/baha at yung dahil sa holidays. At kung ako tatanungin, kung dapat bawiin yung mga suspended classes dahil sa calamities, OO, sang-ayon ako. Nagbayad ng tuition ng sapat, dapat sapat din ang turo. Yung mga utak absent at tuwang tuwa sa no classes eh dapat baguhin na sa kultura natin. Hanggang no classes lang ang iniisip at tuwang tuwa, hindi na naisip na yung reason ng no classes na ikinatutuwa eh nagdudulot ng malaking perwisyo sa kapwa nila. Sablay na pag-iisip sobra.

    personally, I would not mind. Think of it as in-offset na yung holidays dahil sa habagat.

    Yep, tama ka na kailangang bawiin yung classes na yun, tingin ko yung tanong ko na lang kung sa inyo bang palagay tama na sa holiday nila kuhain yun, naalala ko kasi dati tuwing Sabado pinapapasok kami.

    Nakakalungkot man isipin pero ganyan nga mga kabataang Pinoy ngayon. Umulan lang ng kaunti, mariringgan mo na agad ng "Wala pa bang announcement?". Nasasanay na kasi sila dahil lagi tayong dinadaanan ng kalamidad lagi may suspensiyon ng klase.

    Alam ko din na may ibang mga school na hindi binabawi yung nawalang pasok kahit nagsuspend sila dahil sa sama ng panahon. Nauuwi na lang sa mga guro na pagsiksikin yung mga nawalang araw doon sa pagpasok nung mga estudyante.

    Bawasan ang isang katerbang lesson plan na hindi naman kailangan. Hindi kasalanan ng students na meron typhoon so hindi sila dapat i-deprive ng kanilang "free days." I'm not a student anymore...pero the way I see students now...sobrang drained wala naman value masyado yung education dito kaya hindi ko alam kung bakit sobrang drained ang mga students.

    Sus yung iba diyan akala mo lang drained yun pala cramming lang.

    They should make up for the lost time but why pick holidays in particular? In my kid's school they'll do it in a row of Saturdays starting this weekend.

    Ayus yan. Although mas pabor ako na sa Saturdays bawiin. Usually kasi mga magulang wala rin pasok pag holidays kaya magandang time yun for family bonding.

    I'm all for it. Besides, we have too many holidays and special occasions in the country to keep us from being at school.

    Oo naman para sulit yung binabayad na tuition at para mas matuto pa yung bata. Kasi pag kulang yung natutunan ng bata baka mahirapan siyang mag-cope sa mga lessons ng higher schooling years. Gaya nga nang sabi ng isa mas maganda 'pag sa Sabado yung make-up.

    Okay lang, basta huwag lang i-penalize yung mga aabsent. Halimbawa, si estudyante ay naka-i-schedule nang lumipad sa Cebu para dalawin (kasama ng pamilya) ang lolo na matanda na at may malubhang karamdaman. Nag-schedule sila na ang dalaw ay sa isang long weekend dahil sa isang Monday holiday, para di maka-istorbo sa eskwela. Kaso, patay, na-move yung exam nila dun sa Monday na yun, na binawing holiday dahil sa dami ng mga bagyo. Kung ganito, dapat payagan ang anak na ma-take ang mga exam (no penalty) pagbalik na lang sa eskwela.
