    Cool

For me, "The Filipino spirit is waterproof" means that we Filipinos are not giving up that easy to any obstacles and odds that come our way. If we fall, we always try to stand up as soon as we can.

We are not even afraid of these problems or dilemma. In fact, we're always seem unprepared when it come. The recent scenario about the flood in the metropolitan where thousands of our fellow countrymen are highly affected proved that. The ridiculous thing is, we even managed to make some funny stuff or memes out of the difficult situation

But with the helping hands of our concerned 'Kababayans', our affected countrymen easily coped up and now starting to rise again as if nothing happened!

That's really who Filipinos are! Waterproof!

It means there are 20+ storms every year and flooding is so common you should be use to it by now.

Not sure. Conquering adversity isn't exactly a uniquely Filipino trait.

Personally, it means that Filipinos are a resilient lot. whatever gets thrown our way, we manage to emerge from it and pick up the pieces of our lives.

Though at times, it can be interpreted as going back to the same old complacency, with the waterproof attitude. Sometimes it translates to: I survived it before, I can survive it again.

That's how we say, BAHA/BAGYO ka lang, PILIPINO AKO.

    "The Filipino Spirit is Waterproof"

    means

Sad to see and hear na hanggang pampalubag loob lang ang nagagawa.

Pero totoo matatag na ang mga Pilipino. 1972 ang The Great Flood talagang sunod sunod na bagyo with matching HABAGAT.

Hindi tayo waterproof. No such thing as waterproof.

Pano puro orc country nasa paligid nila any time pwede silang sakupin at pagpapatayin. Ang Pinoy kung gusto nila at desperado, nothing is impossible.

Humanity will always find a way. Hindi lang pinoy.

Filipinos are beyond waterprooof. Different interpretation can be said.

But I think the common thing or idea is that, Filipinos are very quick to adapt. Whatever you throw at them[may it be good or bad] they'll always find a way to see the good in it. And yes, nothing is impossible to the Filipinos. No storm nor water flood can bring us down.

No matter how small or big the adversities our country face each year, we still manage to get up and brush our shoulders off.

    Life goes on.
