Did the water go in? Up to where inside did it reach? You're pretty sure the ECU is broken or was reached by the water?

When a car is about to be flooded, disconnect the battery immediately.

After the flood, try to clean it out immediately after as this can help minimize additional damage. Depending on the extent of the water damage, you'll have to replace all the fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, power steering, fuel, etc.), replace all filters, dry and clean all electrical contacts and sensors with electric contact cleaner, drain water from the intake and combustion chamber (this is done by turning/cranking the engine with the spark plugs removed.

Never start the car until it you have done the necessary steps as mentioned above. Starting it with water inside the engine combustion chamber will result in a very costly repair order.

My friend in Malabon saved all his cars this time around by disconnecting the battery, removing the ECU, instrument cluster, a/c switch panel, power window and locks switches, etc. He did it when he saw the waters were going to rise and they couldnt move the car out anymore.

Better if you can first find a mechanic to check out and assess your car on-site before deciding on the shop.

Very satisfied naman ako sa work Nila.

^Description mo kasi "up to sideskirt". Anyway, it seems you took every possible precaution naman. Hopefully hindi sira yung ECU. Make sure its thoroughly dry before plugging it back in. A lot of soaked electronic gadgets (like celfones) have been revived by simply drying them out (one tip involved leaving it in a bag of uncooked rice, the rice absorbing all the moisture).

Ang nasira Lang is Yung busina at battery + 4k pa ):

If you will do that then be fair to the buyer and tell them the history of the car. Don't be surprised if they back out or haggle for a lower price. IMO if the repairs were done well, then it shouldn't be any less reliable than a car that has been modified and raced.
