    Anti-theft Reset

Hi guys. Today my pick-up's anti-theft system triggered as I was closing the driver side door. The horn and lights are going off and I can't turn on the engine. Is there anyway I could reset it?

    Here are the details:
    • 2004 Ford Ranger
    • Remote separate from key
    • Led Indicator continuously blinking
    • Toggle switch near Led indicator (don't know what this is for)
    • No "alarm box" under dashboard

The battery is disconnected for now.

Is it an OEM alarm or aftermarket? Most aftermarket alarms have this switch. Try to put the key in "on" position but do not start. Press the switch and see if the led bulb stops blinking. This will temporary put your alarm in valet mode. Press it again until the led blinks. Your alarm should be in dis arm mode.

I think it is an OEM anti-theft system since I have the manual for the system along with the car's manual. Nothing was mentioned about reseting it though

^Well if it were that easy to disable and reset then it would be useless as an anti-theft device right? I suggest you call up the casa and have their own technician fix it. Naturally they will ask for you to prove you are indeed the owner.

Nevermind guys, I just had the entire system removed. It's working again now.
