    Question DLSU Future Transferee Question

    Hello everyone.

I came from a university, took up mass comm then transfered to a school sa tabi-tabi, per tri-sem sya. Now I am processing my papers sa old school ko, I took up I.T. I think mag 2nd year first sem na ako dapat or 1st year third sem na ako dapat.

Anyway I am confused with the following courses:

BS Computer Science Major in Computer Systems Engineering (CS-CSE)

BS Computer Science with Specialization in Network Engineering (CS-NE)

BS Computer Science with Specialization in Software Technology (CS-ST)

BS Computer Science with Specialization in Instructional Systems Technology (CS-IST) *

    BS Information Systems (BS-IS)

What are the difference with each of the above computer courses?

    Anyway my top 3 picks are: CS-CSE, CS-NE, CS-ST.

I stopped kasi before since I am a risk taker and I wanna experienced something more. It turns out, it's better na graudate ka para yung work mo eh gusto mo talaga.

I am a bit familiar with the network engineering thing. Even though undergrad pa ako, familiar na ako don at yun work ko. Pero I am interested sa CS-CSE , what do you think?

Well I think lahat meron non pero mas grabe sa la salle. Pero I am being optimistic na may mabait na mag teach sa akin sa Math.

Anyway mahirap ba entrance exam sa mga courses na gusto ko or isang exam lang sa CS department?

And ano difference ng Gokongwei and Engineering department na may Computer Science and I.T courses din?

I am looking forward to be in La Salle, tska tri-sem din yung school kaya gusto ko, para manilis maka graduate. And di ko ma imagine sarili ko sa mapua. Suicide ata pag doon ako.

Although gusto ko may backup ako s kung di ako puwede sa computers stuff. I am thinking of taking up marketing or advertising. Film making sana but sooooooo expensive.

Please help me out guys. Excited na ako makqpag test then enroll. Sana walang math sa entrance test sa La Salle, masaya na ako kung essay then interview lang.

    Thanks.

P'wede ba namang walang Math sa entrance test? I think you better expect it. How can you say that you're not suited for "computers stuff"? You implied you have job experience na with a related line of work right? I think my only advice is for you to pursue a degree that will lead you to a career you are very interested in and you are good at, not just because it's a second option or last resort.

I learned how to use a computer when I was like 4 or 6. I created my first Visual Basic software as well as some HTML stuff before I reach 10 years old. During my first year high school days, I already contibuted some source codes to PlanetSourceCode.com and before I graduated, I used to have a PHP based database driven ShoutBox with smileys that is listed on SourceForge.net, wherein programmers can share and use different source codes there since it's an open source community.

Actually I really wanted film making. But my friends and family knows my talent in computers. Yet why film making? Because you can combine arts and science. You can apply the computer stuff in a film, like the visual effects stuff. Yet I wanna do something to change the world. Contibute to the modern technology era just like what Steve Jobs and Bill Gates did as well as Mark Zuckenberg.

People around me knows and says I have lots of knowledge about computers. Yet weird, but I am stupid when it comes to Math or probably I don't have the common sense type of knowledge with that subject unlike with Computers. So probably in terms of Math, I need to know the basics first.

Second choice courses lie Advertising and Marketing are like my backup plans. Those to things still interests me. Yet I know, I am for either computers or film making. I need to have a backup so that in case I fail the computer exams because of Math stuff, I can still proceed with College.
