I don't think Brandon Roy doing well will be considered a breakout. Even Andrei Kirilenko who is a Euroleague MVP.

Andrew Bynum, with someone to pass him the ball inside, there's no reason for him not to break out big this season.![]()
Jimmy Butler and Roy Hibbert
Hopefully, Pao Gasol. He showed it in the Olympics that he is still one of the world's best.![]()
I won't bet on Bynum....the big guy looks imposing in LA because he had another quality big man to divide the opponent's attention in Pau Gasol...now that he's on his own, his weaknesses would be exposed....people would start to realize that Bynum is not the beast that most perceived him to be......and that he's really not the second-coming of Shaq.....
on a side note, I'm interested how Jodie Meeks would play out this season.....if he hits his outside shots consistently, then we might be seeing the second-coming of Michael Cooper......![]()
im hoping Jimmer Fridette would have a break out season...
Lou Williams as a starter might come up big as well...
Rashard Lewis that beat Lebron and the Cavaliers will be back!!!
Bynum will no longer have a breakout season because he already done that last season... let's just say this will be the season that he will have a superstar status.
^^
Why would you rank the Sixers above Boston or Indiana if I may ask? I wouldn't say superstar but a star nonetheless. There are only a handful of guys you can really call "superstar" anyway.
Atlanta Hawks
Lou Williams - [break-out season chance to prove that he can play starter minutes.
Boston Celtics
Avery Bradley - taking over Ray Allen position. mini-breakout season maybe.
Charlotte Bobcats
Bismack Biyombo - defensively? yes. offensively? no.
Gerald Hendersson -break-out season. with DJ gone, this is basically his team.
Kemba Walker - mini-breakout season.
Ramon Session - he is teasing me again. seriously...
Chicago Bulls
Jimmy Butler - if Deng and Hamilton will get injured again. it will be his chance to shine.
Kirk Hinrich - he will have a "resurrected" season and not a break-out. he already done that during 03-04 season.
Cleveland Cavaliers
CJ Miles - break-out. could be 2nd offensive option behind Irving
Tristan Thompson - break-out. with Antawn no longer blocking him. he will now take care of the boards and scoring inside.
Dallas Mavericks
Darren Collison - break-out. has more passing options in Dallas.
Denver Nuggets
Kenneth Faried - breakout a full season without Nene in front of him is a positive sign
Golden State Warriors
Klay Thompson - only if Stephen Curry and David Lee will get injured again this season then this will be his break-out season.
Houston Rockets
Chandler Parson - break-out. prime candidate for the most improved player this coming season.
Omer Asik - mini-breakout. especially now that he has some competition in Donatas Motiejunas,
Memphis Grizzlies
Jerryd Bayless - break-out could become starting 2-guard.
Orlando Magic
Glen Davis - break-out. surprised that nobody noticed this guy. with D-Ho out in Orlando, the shaded area is his domain. Orlando could have a back-to-back MIP.
Aaron Affalo - breakout unless Hedo wakes up, Aaron could become the main scoring producer in this team
Philadelphia 76ers
Evan Turner - breakout we already had a glimpse of what he can do during the playoffs last year. he will continue that this coming season. only J-Rich could stop him from getting the MIP award this season.
Phoenix Suns
Goran Dragic - breakout/ he is the main reason why the Suns have to let go of Nash.
Michael Beastly - mini-breakout. because he said so.
Portland Trail Blazers
JJ Hickson - breakout could produce double-double this season.
Sacramento Kings
Isaiah Thomas - breakout. going to the next level this year.
I think Jrue Holiday will have a breakout for Philly too. Also I think Greivis Vasquez will continue to improve.
IMHO, he is already a star last season after averaging double-double with the Lakers. and he is a two-time (??) All-Star. So I was surprised why he is still being considered in this thread. so are Brook Lopez (who average close to 20 points in his career) and Roy Hibbert (who averaged close to double-double last season).
I agree with your observation and it's up to him now if he will become the superstar in the East. Hibbert and Greg Monroe will get a shot to challenge him. But it will be difficult considering that Bynum has something to prove this season.
