    Where to buy weightlifting shoes?

Where do you buy weightlifting shoes in the Philippines?

Aside from ordering on the internet and having it delivered here (through a friend, or through a courier), where have you seen weightlifting shoes? The ones with a hard or wooden heel and meta tarsal straps. The ones used for barbell exercises.

I am aware that some people do their training in Chuck Taylors, or slippers or barefoot. My question is about the shoes. I do mine with crocs on top of cement, but they're quite mushy.

I've asked several Nike retailers if they have Romaleos 2 and Adidas for Adipower weightlifting shoes, but none of them carry it. So there must be some specialty stores that carry them, and we have some olympic contenders so they must have gotten them somewhere.

Otherwise, I just might resort to buying them abroad (internet.)

No bueno dito bro, sa net ka lang talaga makakahanap. Same problem din ako, kailangan ko naman ng belt. Sobrang mahal shipping, kung may kahati lang sana.

If enough people are willing to buy, I can coordinate a group buy and ship via Johnny Air (fast, expensive) or my friend's balikbayan box forwarder (cheap, slow).

Simonsky, I am using a Harbinger nylon/velcro belt. Are you holding out for something from Best Belts?

Actually looking at Titan Toro for $69, cheapest that I found so far for known brands. Count me in for a group buy.

hope you don't mind me asking but if you're not gonna compete in oly lifting, aren't those a bit expensive?

So far so good naman.

Kung walang budget, laging nandyan ang maasahan na classic Converse shoes na tig 1,500-1,800 lang.

^ I used to have a pair pero bumigay na.. More often than not, learning how to improve small details like driving your heals and squeezing your glutes for stronger pulls and squats go a long way..

nowadays either paa ako or minimalist shoes, just my preference
As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking.

I went the opposite direction; from minimalist shoes (VFF) to Chucks for almost everything.

I only wear vibrams or sometimes bare foot. Even if I'm already efficient in the oly lifts, I won't consider wearing oly shoes since I don't compete. I only perform oly lifts for the sake of working out. I'll shell out the money for better things like membership renewal or new shorts for I have torn many shorts during squats. lolz.

Snagged a pair of the Reebok Crossfit Olys today. Will try them out tomorrow.

Reebok Crossfit Olys and Nanos are 10% off sa Reebok SM Megamall and they still have the full size run so now is the time to buy.

If you have a credit card i got mine off ebay.com

    The Reebok Crossfit Olys.

Strangely, I can't find this colorway on Reebok's website or anywhere else.
