Last year pa under-achiever yan. His system is not working.
Replace him with whom? Let him finish the season rather than replacing him mid-stream and throwing away your team chemistry.
You guys should have replaced him after last season when Koy Banal was still available.
bring back leo. or... or... bring in joel banal![]()
yung kay leo joke lang yon. unless hindi na siya athletics director ng arellano. afaik siya nga nagdala kay koy sa chiefs.
Athletics director din pala siya. Kaya pala gumaganda yun programa ng Chiefs.
Question: Nakapasok na ba ng F4 si Chito?
damn it!
san na ba si coach horacio?! sayang, medyo pangit ang recruitment ng mapua nung time nya... but somehow he still manage to bring the team sa final four despite the lack of star players.
mapua should start looking for a new head coach for next year.. patapusin na lang si coach chito...
you have all the tools for a championship caliber team. i think something must be done with your headcoach. i doubt if you will make headway with what you have now. Bring joel Banal as your coach to bring toughness.
I know..but I guess the reason why they are losing is that they have no
chemistry at all....the system is not working...sa akin..its time to wake them up
with a new voice.. starting now ..mahaba pa season and we can no longer
second guess Coach Chito's handling of the team and his capability to turn it
around ( hoping he still can ) but it's a lot better to replace him
now.......finishing the season just for the sake of finishing the season is not an
option..let's put an " interim coach " to finish it..and the players might actually
respond through their potentials.
Last year ko pa gusto ma-replaced si Coach Chito, sayang talaga talents ng mga players. Imagine we have Taha, Nimes and Mangahas last season pero wala nangyari. Now with the vastly improved Parala and Ighalo then Nimes and the addition of Gab Banal and Estrella mukha pa din dis-organized sila. Puro one on one, wala masyadong play tapos kulang sa puso ang players meaning wala masyadong motivation.....![]()
I know huh?.. dapat ngayon na, di na natin dapat ipatapos kasi..its the
same result....i don't care if an assistant coach ang mag handle to finish
the season..then search na lang for next year. The team needs a new
voice...has a deeper line up.., compared to those
Leo's and Horacio's Cards...but they were able to pull the team around
and made the playoffs each time...oh well,..smh*..sayang ang season...
if u have watched the game yesterday, there is no way u cant say not to replace coach Chito.. i believe that Mapua really has a competitive roster to be at least be included at the cast of final four specially last year! i thought the Cardinals would start this season with a new coach but sadly.... just look at were we are now again!![]()
all i can say is that its not the coach who bungled the passes (chien, jonathan banal), commits the traveling infractions (jonathan and gab banal), turns the ball over (nimes and stephens), forces shots (nimes, parala and estrella) and misses defensive assignments (ighalo and brana) to lose a won game yesterday.
nimes hasn't changed, he always loses steam in the 2nd half, is there something wrong with this guy's conditioning? plus he has a tendency to hotdog the ball which results into boneheaded plays, no need to take twisting shots when you are just as tall as the opposing team's center.
its not right to make that comparison simply because the environment during horacio lim and leo isaac's tenure was very different from today's NCAA:
1. there were lesser teams back then - 0 expansion teams meaning lesser teams to beat and a shorter schedule
2. MIT had a veteran backcourt in dela pena and co - it has been proven time and again that a team that lacks quality bigmen but has veteran guards will always be more competitive compared to teams with quality bigmen but no veteran guards.
3. the only strong teams during lim's tenure were letran, sscr and PCU - have we conveniently forgotten that beda, csb, jru and perpetual had weak lineups - compared to MIT - back then?
4. the only strong teams during isaac's tenure were sbc, jru and letran - baste was rebuilding from 2007-2008 while pcu was suspended for one season and fielded a jason castro-less team in 2008, lastly perpetual wash just plain awful from 2007-2008.
i don't think the MIT teams from 2003-2008 overachieved, in fact i'll go as far as saying that they were among the favorites to win during that period.
times have changed, the circumstances have changed. the other schools have simply become more aggressive in putting together strong lineups and the presence of competitive expansion teams makes it more difficult for MIT to barge into the final 4.
yes he has to go, but yes he just got his new contract to coach the cardinals as per my source, can anyone from MIT confirm this?
