ISE -> ISE-BSA or shift completely to BSA?

Hi guys, I'm a frosh and taking up AB-ISE and I'm wondering how to have a double degree? At first I was thinking of shifting to BSA pero nirecommend nung blockmates ko na mag double degree na lang daw ako. So kung double degree, paano ba 'to nagwowork? Sabay ba talaga yung ISE and BSA or pwedeng tapusin muna yung BSA then ISE? Magkano kaya babayaran and stuff? And is it better kung mag double degree na lang ako or shift to BSA na lang?

Not a LIA-COM guy here pero I think mauuna yung ISE before yung BSA, and it would probably take you 5 or 6 years to finish them both na walang bagsak. If you take ISE as is before BSA, mauubusan ka ng floating subjects so I think the LIA-COM curriculum tries to balance them all out across all the terms of study, so lalabas ISE majors + BSA majors + common floating subjects yung mga ittake mo. Sa tuition, you pay more in the long run kasi you will be studying longer, pero every term it would pretty much be the same when you take on a single degree.

Hey LIA-COM PEXers, help TS out

I think you're better off taking BSA alone. If you're already a CPA I don't think your ISE degree would have any use in your accounting career. If you're intending to work in Europe, many accountants are able to work and later on migrate to Europe anyway, even without an ISE degree.

    - shift to LIACOM which is considered as external shifting. You'll have to get an ITEO exam and should have a CGPA of 2.75 above.

    - How does it work? You'll get to have 2 degrees when you graduate.

    - In the flowchart, LIA comes before the COM. But personally, what I'm doing now is getting the COM first before the LIA. It's for you to decide which to take first.

    - Tuition stays the same. It'll depend on how many courses you'll enroll for the term. However, the additional terms needed will consequently make your fees higher as opposed to other programs.

    - Is it better to have a double degree? depends on what and how you gauge "better" to be. If the additional fees and years do not bother you, then go for LIACOM. If it does, then why the hell would you burden yourself? If you shift to BSA, GOODLUCK; to LIACOM? GOODLUCK as well. In other "simpler" words, it's your call.

    All is well,

    lnel. LIACOM, 110.

Thank you for your replies! Yay sa part na pwede kunin ang COM first before LIA since my mom wants me to finish BSA first if ever I'll get a double degree. Well okay lang naman sa'kin to spend more time and money hehe and my grades, so far, are okay naman (3.0,3.5). What bothers me is kung may chance na magmi-mix yung ISE and BSA subjects ko, just like what deyzhapi said. Ayoko namang nagta-take ako ng, example, POLISCI tapos may BUSMATH ako, yung mga ganong type. So @lneliouchiora, paano po ba yung flow ng subjects mo? Mix ba yung dalawa or not? :[

Sa BSA kasi, meron kang 4 modular terms na puro accounting lang (last one is review module, taken during your very last term).

If you intend to take your modular terms first then afterwards proceed with your ISE/Com terms, I don't think it's a good idea.
