How's the local system with regards to book shipments from abroad?

I tried to use the search button but didn't work on me today so I'm sorry if an existing thread was already placed before this.

I just want to ask you if there are hardly any complications to buying books from, say, ebay. I've never had a book delivered from overseas before and I was wondering how our guys at the Bureau of Customs are treating this sort of item purchase.

Any useful tips? How long should it take for my book to arrive?

In case you're wondering, it's this book that I really have to get. It's the unabridged version that I've fallen in love with in HS but the book wasn't mine and it's not sold locally anymore.
