ginebra fan here, since añejo days pa..5yrs old lang yata ko nun..

sena kc is a freddie abuda type of player na mas pumupuntos..ok sya off the bench pag papalitan si hatfield na medyo tumatanda na..jwash is also a scorer, pero may tendency na maging senyorito like canaleta..pero in defense naman, kahit pano may pakinabang..

i hope that ginebra management will finally come to their senses come draft day! I am sick and tired of them getting garbage picks! i hope that we'll get a steal in the draft someone unknown like mc47 before; whom later on surprised everyone with his skills in the pba.

and i am one of those people who wants to re-vamp the whole coaching staff of ginebra. can we just get bal david or pido jarencio as a head coach? or at least someone who will utilize ALL the players in our roster?

i won't expect a championship next season if our system won't change. what's the use of the 6th and 8th pick if our basketball system as a team still relies on Fck**ng pick & roll? F*ck that man!

Kaya nga ang balita ngayon sa kampo ng San Miguel Group of Companies, Petron Blaze will release and trade player(s) and thinking of sending the other top pick this year to another team.

I don't want to jump to any conclusion, dahil panigurado at medyo may siguradong magtatanong kung saan ko na hagilap ang balitang ito.

Before the rainy days, I sent a message to one of my friend working under a prestigious news paper company/agency as one of their sports writers and he mentioned about the trading pattern pointing-out to Petron and other teams.

How come Petron wants to release some of the player(s), perhaps they are congested with star players and they want to gain the future draft pick. Unless other teams will back out from the trade proposal(s) made by them.

Secret as maybe Petron wants to have well balance team for now, they are taking offers from different teams. I don't know if Ginebra was one of the team included on the proposal(s) and everyone of us for sure know that Ginebra is one of the sister team of Petron and they need a conduit team to shift player(s) from point A to point B.

Dahil sa isang malaking trade scenario itong binuksan niya, before the coming conference on the last week of September this year tentative pa ang opening ng All Filipino conference.

I know for sure even the dog(s) doesn't bite to this kind of issue and rumors circulating on Facebook and other websites or another trade fantasy from other grumpy forumer.

By the way paalis pala ng bansa si Mark Caguioa magpapa-check-up siya at kukuha ng second opinion regarding about the eye yung na injured.

Sabi nga niya his ready to make the fans proud this coming conference, kung makakabalik siya agad galing US at kung hindi kailangan operahin ang kanyang mata ulit.

Third or fourth week ng September this year maaring bumalik si Mark ng bansa para sa paghahanda this coming All Filipino Conference.

Here's the paradox of Ginebra as a team over the years:

During the Big J's time, Ginebra was partial in recruiting big men in the Draft. Some names taken from the rookie pool include:

    Dondon Ampalayo
    Cayetano Salazar
    Harmon Codinera
    Peter Aguilar
    Victor Pablo
    Noli Locsin
    EJ Feihl
    Marlou Aquino
    Romy Dela Rosa
    Macky De Joya

Since Robert Jaworski, Sr. was the coach and was still actively playing, there was less priority on the team's part to acquire guards. He still got some guards from the draft though - guys like Leo Isaac, Mike Advani, JV Gayoso, Benett Palad, Nonoy Chuatico, among others but then, there was less need for such because of the availability of veteran guards in the midst. Guys like Rudy Distrito, Joey Loyzaga, Pido Jarencio, Dante Gonzalgo and Vince Hizon were taken from other teams as free agents while Bal David was plucked from free agency as well but as a rookie after Swift didn't sign him up on his 1995 rookie year.

And now, Ginebra's partiality in acquiring and collecting guards is really difficult to comprehend. I'm not sure but my theory here is that there's an unconscious effort on the team's vision to continue making it as exciting to watch as possible through run-and-gun offense built on small guards that seem to portray the underdog character. Not to say that they haven't been successful but they need to understand that in the 4 championships that Ginebra won in the post-Jaworski era, they did so because they had a healthy and dominating Eric Menk patrolling the shaded area. Rudy Hatfield was actually present in Ginebra's championship, typifying the essential need for a solid interior player to compliment their guard corps.

maganda yung bal david and pido jarencio idea sir..mga bata ni jaworski na talagang lumalaban ng patayan,at the same time may mga fresh ideas in coaching..sana kahit isa man lang sa kanila ay maidagdag sa coaching staff this coming season..

Good point Jay P. Mercado and fellow kabarangay.

Come to think of having money in the bank with Marlou Aquino and Bal David tandem plus Noli Locsin you can easily put 2 and 3 without lifting a finger.

And after Jaworski reigned the game board and heading to the Senate the new dynasty came Eric Menk, Rudy Hatfield and Mark Caguioa came to the picture and kung ikaw ang coach you can easily pick 1 and 3 to back them.

Kaya't Jayjay looks good on the floor because of the three names his buddy Mark and his team mates Rudy and Eric.

Isa pa lumalaban sila ng hapitan at sagaran, hanggang sa dulo gumagawa sila ng paraan to win the much awaited championships.

Come to think of that same good insight you mentioned, malaking tulong din ang bench nila and six man of Ginebra the crowd or fans cheering them until the final buzzer sounds.

Same goes when they saw Rain or Shine winning the last conference this year. Hindi sila kalakasan pero balanseng team sila plus reliable import manning the paint.

Kailangan tamang timing for each and every team, malaking factors din talaga ang balanseng team at out from injuries.
