    may WD Elements 500gb ko... di sya mrecognize pag kinakabit ko sa laptop or pcs.. sinubukan ko na din gamitan ng ibang wire, wala pa din...
    posible pa ba to mapagawa.. and can you suggest any shop who do this? how much? thanks

    Either the hard disk itself is broken or the USB interface is the one that's faulty. For the latter you merely have to open the external drive, remove the hard disk, and transplant it into an external enclosure (or adapter), such as those sold at CD-R King.

    If the hard disk itself is faulty, then tough luck since HDs that have crashed cannot be repaired. Try putting your ear close to the drive and listen for a repetitive clicking sound, if you hear that chances are the HD has crashed (Note: some external HDs can create such a sound if the current from the USB port is insufficient; if the drive came with a double headed USB cable make sure to plug BOTH ends into USB ports).

    good morning =)
    i tried plugging it several times and observed the sound its making... all i hear is 1 click..
    first, it runs then after 10secs.i hear a click then an error message prompts. "not recognized"
