According to Leo Consul, OK naman daw ang audience shares. In fact, naging 7x a week na ang show.

^wow! I think makukuha rin ng mga Indonesians ang concept ng show...

Indonesian Network Obtains Franchise Of ‘Eat Bulaga!’
    By ROWENA JOY A. SANCHEZ
    July 16, 2012, 5:49pm

The people of ‘Eat Bulaga!’ Indonesia (Photo as seen on chuvaness.com)
MANILA, Philippines – While local networks are the ones that usually acquire franchise of international programs, reports have it that an Indonesian network has done the same for Philippine noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga!”

The Indonesian version of “Eat Bulaga!,” which bears the same title, officially premiered on July 16.

According to a post on PEP Alerts, the deal between Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) and the “EB” management was sealed in June; this, after talks that began two months prior. But according to Harsiwi Achmad, SCTV director of programs and production, the network had wanted to meet with the “EB” bigwigs since five years ago.

Similar to the original “EB,” the Indonesian version will be filled with entertainment, games, prizes, and inspiration. Segments were also patterned on the local version, such as “Indonesia Pintar” (“Pinoy Henyo”), “One For All, All For One,” “Bolagaan,” and “Karaoke Stud.” One of the original show’s core hosts, “Bossing” Vic Sotto, also has his Indonesian counterpart: Uya Kuya, who is called “Boss Uya.”

Even the “dabarkads”—the collective term for the “EB” hosts—has an equivalent in the Indonesian show: “bulagang.”

A post on popular blog site chuvaness.com quoted Achmad as saying, “We want this program to be a success like in the Philippines, where it has been running for the past 33 years.”

He also noted that they are not adapting the Philippine version 100% but will “format in accordance with the state and introduce positive values, environmental campaigns, and sharing with others.”

Joining Uya Kuya as host of “EB” Indonesia are Aja Farid, Reza No, Ramzi, Narji, Ciripa, Rian Ibram, Rio Indrawan, Steven, Leo Consul, Selena Alexandria, Jenny Tan, Bianca Lizza, and Julie Christie.

Original “EB” producer and TAPE Inc. big boss Tony Tuviera is proud and thrilled over the historical achievement of the show.

"Today marks another milestone for ‘Eat Bulaga’ as the first international franchise of our show will be launched at 4 p.m. in Indonesia...," he was quoted as saying in a statement.

'Bulaga' pilot in Indonesia gets good ratings
By Maridol Rañoa-Bismark | Yahoo! Southeast Asia Newsroom – 6 hours ago

The debut of “Eat Bulaga” in Indonesia last Monday, July 16, did well, ratings-wise.

This was the good news Malou Choa-Fagar, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (Tape Inc.), producer of the noontime show relayed to Yahoo! Philippines OMG! in a phone interview a day after she arrived from Indonesia.

“The Indonesian version airs for one-and-a-half-hours at 4 pm because they have to consider the viewers’ prayer time,” Malou added.

“Eat Bulaga”, the Indonesian version also retains all the segments Filipinos see everyday at noontime, like “Pinoy Henyo”, “One For All, All For One,” “Bolagaan” and “Karaoke Stud.”

And since Indonesians are not familiar with what “Eat Bulaga” means, Malou revealed that the pilot episode carried an explanation about the show’s program.

    Unplanned

The Indonesian franchise was something Tape Inc. executives didn’t plan at all.

“It was they (Indonesia’s Surya Citra Televisi or SCTV)) who approached us,” recalls Malou. The program director Harsiwi Achmad has been watching “Bulaga” on YouTube even before she was not yet with SCTV. She studied the show closely and felt it will work in Indonesia. So when she moved to SCTV, she contacted a Filipino, Gerry de Guzman, who became the mediator between Indonesia and the Filipino 'Bulaga' executives.”

Malou recounts that the SCTV executives went to the Philippines to watch the show to see how it runs.

As of now, Malou explains, “Bulaga” Indonesia is on a trial period and SCTV will assess its performance after one season for 13 weeks.

Mga soap opera ang katapat nila.

I think ang malaking factor lang na problem ng EB Indonesia is the Muslim Religion itself
since madami dapat sila na isaalang-ala sa bawat galaw nila..
