seryoso yan pareho. tip sakin yan ng kakilala ko, worked for him, it worked for me as well. hindi usapang kasalan yung pinaggamitan namin nito pero we were talking to elders about a certain event.

on topic: I still believe in marriage and I think it does matter. Sometimes it's important to have a label, and I think this is one of those instance that there should be a label. I may be wrong but that's what I believe in.

it's okay to not believe in marriage BUT don't ever said that you don't believe in God as well. I respect all religions we have here in our country. every person has a beliefs and i respect that. but don't hate God when you're angry because of some bad experience you have. God is the only one who can make us strong when we are weak.

if you don't believe in god, then why you're still alive.. ?
don't you ever appreciate everyday you woke up, the air you breath, the water you drink..

some small things are blessings you know..
To answer your off-topic question, rasshell:

No, I don't believe in marriage but I'm a firm believer of good, working, and lasting relationships. Why marry? One can be moral without signing a contract.

No, I am not angry with anyone. I don't hate anything but evil. In fact, I'm very much a happy and smiling and laughing person. I do believe, however, in daily forgiveness... and unconditional love.

I have had bad experiences in that past (who doesn't?) but I am totally over it. I can tell about those bad experiences with a smile on my face, and forgiveness and thankfulness in my heart.

    I don't have a religion. I don't believe there's a god. Specially that god that you're talking about.

However, scientists have already discovered the "God" particle, which is the Higgs-boson particle. That particle-god I do believe... and have faith with.

I am still alive because I am a breathing mammal, my heart is still beating, and the blood in my veins are still flowing. To all the things that make me alive, those I am thankful with. Profusely.

Yes, you are annoyed with me but no I am not annoyed with you. I'd like to thank you for your comment.

However, if you're annoyed with me whilst you respect all religions in this country, then, the "God" that you're talking about MAY not as effective as you think he is.

    I, thank you.

Please note that non-belief in existence doesn't equate to hatred... non-belief is non-belief, and hatred is hatred.

its like saying one does not believe in the existence of aswangs because he/she hates aswangs - its incomprehensible!

    OnT:

I believe in marriages, and weddings are inevitable, its my fiancee's dream! But I believe in marriages because legally, maraming benefits ang kasal kumpara sa hindi kasal, and I want my fiancee to experience those benefits..

also, pagsusumpaan ng hindi maghihiwalay... is just overly romantic for a woman, especially if it indeed materialized

Yes to marriage. Even if you do not believe in marriage, I think you should also consider what people would think of you and of your partner.

Oh I don't believe in weddings because for me, that equates to lavishness, showing off and the like. The ceremony and the things attached to execute it are too much. Whether you like it or not, people WILL judge your wedding. Either they'll hate or compliment it. "Oh, her gown looks stunning!" "The prenup shots were good!" "What a nice place they had for their reception!"

Marriage is THAT contract. Honestly, who really cares about someone else's marriage when yours is, albeit imperfect, working? Only a few handful people. Others just gossip about you.

True, some people believe in a binding contract like marriage, some don't. We have to respect people who don't believe in such, because it's like talking to a wall, expecting it to give a reply. Whether or not they believe in such, is their prerogative. We can all share ideas, but in the end, it still boils down to one's values and beliefs to accept that idea or not. Just saying.

Marriage only matters if you're doing it for love. For any other reasons, you are better off being single. What a loveless marriage does is it kills your dreams. You both get stuck in a rot. You both get fat. You both end up living in a repetitive boring existence. You get to the point when you look at your life and ask yourself "is this it?".

Pero hindi ba 'talo' ang babae pag hindi kayo kasal? That's what women always say, and I understand why they're saying it. Wala silang pinanghahawakan sayo eh(no pun), so pagnagsawa si lalake, paano sila ngayon? And hindi imposible magsawa ang lalake sayo kung ganun ganun lang, ipagpapalit ka rin niyan sa mas bata mas sexy at hindi pa jaded at matabang babae. It's the way of the world. Of course may exceptions but you know what I mean.

I.e. tagal kayong magkarelasyon, kunwari since College tapos naghiwalay din kayo pareho kayong 35 years of age....si lalake makakahanap pa yan nang gf(i mean mas madali) pero si babae, unless of course kamukha niya sa Tweetie de Leon, mahirap na - magaantay nang manliligaw or maglalandi para mapansin.
