Last January, my wife and I went to Korea with some of my coworkers for our Chinese New Year vacation. I knew what a huge fan of Winter Sonata my wife is so I planned for us to spend some time in Namiseom, where some of the most famous Winter Sonata scenes were filmed.
We were only there for about two days so I wanted to make sure I could find the perfect place to do it. I knew that the park bench where the infamous "snowman kissing scene" took place was nearby but I wasn't able to get everyone to go there on the first day. The next morning we were leaving the island and I informed the rest of our travel-buddies what I was intending to do. They all played along and even offered to take video and pictures for us. When we finally came upon the park bench with the snowmen I asked if we could sit and take pictures there. I was so nervous and my heart was pounding as we posed for a few pictures. Then I dug my hand in my coat pocket, fumbled around with engagement ring I had bought in Singapore, and finally pulled it out after what seemed like an eternity. Catch the rest in the video above
Catch a recap/music video of the rest of our Korea trip here (set to the tune of the Wonder Girls' song, Nobody)!
