For example, the Secular Humanist Aid and Relief Effort in the link given. It's secular and atheist, that's what I mean. But not all secular are atheist.

So next time they shouldn't say that they are as charitable as santaclausists:

At least those who believe in Santa Clause do something good for society:

Eh argument ko lang jorj, if they're doing it individually (not have to be an organized entity) and don't have to "blow their own trumpet" for doing such everytime, your search would then be futile. Copish? *ʞıɥ*

Wala naman akong sinabing ganun. Mas magandang alternative lang na maniwala and behave a certain way beneficial to society than believe otherwise and do nothing and claim that what you believe actually benefits mankind when it does not.

Irrelevant sir for the thread. Hindi ito about individual charities by atheist. This thread is about Atheist Charities and Charitable Institutions. So kung wala pala kayong ilalabas na ganyan OK Lang. Problema ba yun?

    secularism
    - secular - spirit or tendency, especially a system of political or social philosophy that rejects all forms of religious faith and worship.
    - the view that public education and other matters of civil policy should be conducted without the introduction of a religious element.

    - is the principle of separation between government institutions and the persons mandated to represent the State from religious institutions and religious dignitaries.

    Desperado.
I think you're confused. Secularism definitely has nothing to do with atheism. Secularism is simply separating religious belief from the political and social sphere. Atheism on the other hand is the non-belief in God. You can still be Christian while doing secular functions (working in government, collecting taxes, etc.), you cannot be Christian however when you stop believing in God.

Christians were pretty much persecuted in Rome but that didn't stop them despite all the bigotry around them. The fact that you atheists are afraid speak pretty much about your convictions (and cowardice).

Yeah, like handing out "free lugaw" while mocking them for believing in God is really doing anything to help uplift the poor.

Okay. So you can't be an atheist while performing secular functions?

I'd like to think that among other people, we must exercise prudence. Some can be pretty open of their atheism (though it is an important but small aspect of our identity) but realize that even though we expect the good among people, we may not be received warmly.

Fair judgment, I guess. If you wish to carry around the picture of the "caricature atheist", and proceed with your comparison then be my guest.
