Love the melody of this song... The lyrics are also deep... This song has been used in so many different situations... When I searched wiki for the background of the song and its composition, I learned that McLachlan got the inspiration after reading an article about musicians that resort to heroin and die of overdose - something a lot of us can't relate to.... Taking that story aside, I believe each of us can sing this song and personalize its meaning... whether it's for a loved one that's lost or just singing it for the sake of art... This is one of my few attempts to record a video of myself singing... and posting it for public viewing... I know I don't sound like a professional singer but for whatever it's worth, I would like to share this beautiful sad song...
