    My son won't eat vegetables

He grew up with his mother. Her mother isn't health conscious and she usually buys taco bell or burger king when there's no food at home. My son is also hanging out with an obese girl in the neighborhood who likes to eat the same garbage.

Should I stop my son from seeing the obese girl for being a bad influence and should I report his mother to child protection for neglect?

Lastly, how could I talk my son into eating healthy food?

Hi sis. Sorry to hear about your situation. Gulat naman ako at walang nagreply dito eh almost all kids go thru that phase na ayaw kumain ng gulay. I figure kasi di talaga masarap ang gulay eh. Have you tried having them eat their veggies during meal time na sinasabay ang milk nila? Like for me, I have their milk - Lactum vanilla or choco - as their beverage during meals - other than water. It helps kasi after nila sumubo ng veggies, they take a sip of their milk and okay naman Maybe its something you could try?

Ever tried serving it in a non-obvious way? Like giving orange/carrot juice. Or you can blend a variety of veggies alongside fruits and make it into a smoothie. So long as it's sweet, they'll drink it.

I believe every kid went to that same stage regardless of who's he with and what he sees. (I don't like veggies either as a kid, and my daughter is not fond of it too.) You can also show him that you also like veggies too, like eating with him and showing him you like the cabbage, pechay and even ampalaya. In the end, he will learn to eat these too. And another thing, once your son had a favorite veggie (like potatoes and squash), try your best to experiment and create other related recipes so your son won't eat that same food item all over again.

    Good luck...

so it's not enough to just talk him into eating vegetables. lahat dapat ng tao sa paligid nya nakikita nyang kumakain ng gulay set an example kumbaga...maybe start with pureed veggies (like squash) na parang soup na...tapos ipakita nyo na nasasarapan kayo habang kinakain yun, something like that...

    tama sya...

kung ano yung gusto nyo ipagawa or ipakain sa mga anak nyo eh make sure na mapakita nyo mismo sa kanila, dapat kayo mismo ang makita nila as example. hindi yung basta pinagsabihan nyo lang.

First of all, you have to make him understand that health is wealth and to be healthy he has to take nutritious and well balance food. Being friend with an obese child has nothing to do with him if he know what good food to eat.
If your kid does not eat veggie. . there are several ways to make him eat . . you can chopped your veggie really tiny and mixed it with his meat patty, make it look more interesting like raw veggie different kind of dips, cut it nice with different shapes and it fun when eating veggie.

I suggest that you take it a day at a time. You can have a veggie of the week of sorts. Pag nakain nya ito, reward him for a job well done. Of course, kasabay na ang pag-explain why he needs to eat it and all the nutrients he's going to get from eating that vegetable. Speaking of nutrients, if you're concerned about what he's missing, pwede mo naman i-supplement ng milk.

When it comes to eating habits, kids pick this up from parents... So whoever the kid is living with, that parent's habit will be the one the kid will follow. Kahit sinasabi mo sa bata peru hindi mo ginagawa, mas matimbang ang paggawa kaysa pagsabi, ika nga action speaks louder than words.

If you want to raise a healthy child then eat healthy as well. Show him, tell him that it's good and nutritious. Don't force kasi eventually he will get comfortable with it when he sees an adult he trusts eating vegetables without any problem. hope that helps

At first hesitant pa sila sa taste.
ulam. Then later on once they get used to it, hindi mo na sila kailangan pilitin pa.

As parents, dapat explain din natin sa kanila what are the benefits they will get sa pagkain ng
vegetables.
