i think what makes this burger look dumb is the way it is presented.

burgers usually have burger buns covering what's inside. it's like the crust of a pizza, always on the sides and the bottom to highlight the toppings. i think kfc wants something that people will notice and talk about and they succeeded. not sure if this goes on their favor or the kind of reviews they were expecting though.

but if they will continue to make something like this burger again in the future, they might want to try this combination (from top to bottom order): tomatoes+patty+lettuce+cheese+top bun+onion+bottom bun )))))))

still, it lacks creativity. they just rearranged the order, that's all.

yes, some Filipinos love cheese but that doesn't mean that putting the cheese on top is an excellent idea. If you want a cheese sandwich and you're to make one, would you put the cheese on top of the sandwich instead of putting it between the two slices of bread? (cheese + bread slice +bread slice) cheese top sandwich?
what would kfc do if Filipinos love the dressing/ketchup and mayo, would they put it on top too? dressing top burger?

kfc said that by putting the cheese on top, you could taste the cheese much much better, their reason is not enough for me. I eat cheese burgers, but I can taste the cheese just right. I prefer it inside since I like to taste everything (patty, dressing, cheese, veggies) at the same time and not one by one.

what's next? cheese + patty + dressing + tomato + top bun + bottom bum?

I rather have a burger na looks funny, pero masarap naman, kesa sa burgers nila sa states ang ganda nga ng presentation,
di naman masarap, nakakailang kagat ka pa lang, gusto mo ng itapon.

the only problem i see with that cheese on top burger, is how you hold it. nasa gilid yung hawak, para di dumikit sa kamay mo.

eh kung di naman didikit sa balot, wala naman problema.

hamak na mas masarap kaya mga fastfood satin kaysa sa mga US version nila.

nakakahiya mang aminin, nauubos ko Big Mac satin, , yung US Big Mac version, hindi kaya masarap, bland yung lasa, ni di mo makalahati.

anlayo kaya ng lasa ng KFC sandwiches satin, kumpara sa kanila. kulang sa herbs and spices yung kanila.

Baka naman niche market ito targetted for people who are blesssed with taste buds on the roof of their mouths (ngalangala). Like this guy...

masyado kang conventional mag-isip..hellerr, if you are a cheese person, it makes sense that the cheese is the first thing that hits the roof of your mouth when you take a bite...i prefer it that way, personally. i like the cheese overpowering the bun and the meat...yum!!!

I tried it a few days ago. Before the Ji,,y Kimmel thing.

It looked odd, but it tasted OK. Hindi sticky sa kamay yung cheese.

Parang snack size, budget meal chicken burger lang.

Mas gusto ko yung chicken fillet nila o zinger.

Exactly. Ang nipis ng chicken. Grainy ang cheese. Parang hindi ko nalasahan yung garlic parmesan dressing. In short, hindi ako nasarapan. Mas masarap pa crispy chicken fillet sandwich ng Mcdonald's. Haha.

Sa susunod, nasa ibabaw naman yung dressing. Hehe.

KFC has quite literally topped itself in the dumb sandwich department with the introduction of its latest napkin industry tie-in, the Cheese Top Burger.

That's right: A burger — or, more accurately, a fried chicken sandwich — topped with Garlic Parmesan dressing and a cheese-coated bun, was recently unleashed on an unsuspecting Filipino public still licking its fingers from the Double Down it had three months ago.

You know what they call a fried chicken sandwich with cheese in the Philippines? A royal mess with cheese.

Bakit, nakain mo na ba? For P50, I actually liked it. The cheese on top is nothing spectacular in taste but it's not greasy and not messy at all.

Besides, cheese on top is common in pinoy delicacies -- puto, bibingka, etc. It sharpens the flavor.

I don't know about you but I personally use the WRAPPER whenever I eat ANY kind of burger. One for hygiene, and Two, to keep the filling from spilling out.

Sa US kasi conscious na sila pagdating sa calorie count and nutritional value kaya medyo bland mga pagkain specifically sa mga fastfood. Eh kung kakain ka naman ng burger na puro cheese, dressing, salt etc. eh good luck sa weight.

It's not really new to me. Matagal nang may ganyan. Sa Malaysia yung KFC nila may ganyan na nasa top yung cheese.
