bumped and edited for everyone's concern regarding their complaints and protests.
But here's where it gets interesting, Mendoza and Zamora of LPU were not present in their losing game against the Generals.
One can speculate that it must've been treated as an internal matter that disciplinary action was taken by LPU on it's erring players without the need of a formal complaint and investigation by CSB and MANCOM respectively.
The absence of the two Pirates mentioned is comparable to last season's one game forced absence/suspension endorsed by Coach Richard, with the special enforcement of CSB Sports Head on Lastimosa and Tolentino.
You can also compare this to Orbeta's case, in a sense that our school nipped this in the bud without wasting MANCOM's time and putting the season in jeopardy with a circus of an investigation. No further fuss, just straight to the toilet bowl then flushed for the filth that he has made to the game.
What if that is the case with the recent incident between CSB and LPU?
As for your case, I can't speculate further on a Coach's desire to hurt an opponent player in the long run.
We will have to wait for an official statement from your rep regarding the status of your complaint.
Medyo strict si Hercules Callanta of LPU sa mga players nila kaya baka internal na ng nangyari. I believe last season they didn't allow some of their players din to play kasi may ginawang di maganda.
spongklong shared in the CSB Thread that Commish Joe Lipa saw what transpired between RJ Argamino and LPU players Mendoza and Zamora. Mukhang hindi na inintay ang complaint ng CSB at binigyan ng 3 game suspension si Zamora tapos isa kay Mendoza for pushing Argamino in that incident.
So that leaves us with one other concern, that protest lodged by SBC against Coach Ed Cordero for that screen play that looked like a set-play intended to hurt one of the Semerads.
No official statement from MANCOM to arrive at a conclusion that there was no basis that the complaint will prosper?
We need more people to share what they know about the case here. As far as transparency goes, we have our own little "scrutiny committee" here to discuss and deliberate this. But alas, we don't even have a copy of the rulebook that can give us an edge to tackle this further on our own.
And that book is starting to sound like a Pirate's code. It was made and meant to be more like a guideline.
Is it true that Benilde is not allowed to use the schools official name of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in the NCAA, avoid any mention of "la salle" in its uniforms, etc. and the traditional Lasallian cheers modified to omit the word la Salle and be replaced by " benilde" because this are restrictions imposed by MANCOM when the school was accepted into the NCAA? Additionally, the school has to adopt an additional color of black aside from the traditional green and white.
From the rumors that i gathered, this decision of mancom is because the NCAA is still bitter over DLSU-Manila's transfer to the UAAP.
Even on TV it is just "CSB" on the score board, while other schools, its their whole acronym no matter how long it is. Eg, its always SSC-R or CSJDL, while its just plain CSB for St. Benilde. CSB was never official and it was never just CSB. It was DLSU-CSB and has been changed to DLS-CSB. There is no school named College of Saint Benilde or CSB as a matter of fact. Again I point, the name of the school is De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde.
I find this unfair to the whole DLS-CSB community, especially to the students and alumni of LSGH. LSGH never had the word Benilde in its name, but has to represent Benilde on their jerseys. As an LSGH alumni, i find it hard to cheer for my school in the ncaa shouting go benilde!
Marketing wise, the NCAA missed an opportunity to relieve the red cubs vs greenies rivalry of old when instead of it being billed as san beda vs la salle, it was san beda vs. benilde. But in reality and historically speaking, LSGH of present is the same juniors team back when DLSU was still with the NCAA.
The case of our school can be likened to the case of taiwan. They are officially called the Republic of China, but internationally, they have to represent themselves as Chinese Taipei.
I wish to see the day that LSGH carrying the name of La Salle on their jerseys and Benilde proudly carrying its full official name whether on official NCAA press materials or on their uniforms.
I am a proud Benildean, and never will i deny that I am from Benilde. But before i am a benildean, i am first and foremost, a Lasallian.
