    DepEd's K-12 Program - No or Go?

Matagal nakong graduate kaya wala na rin akong balita na sa mga pangyayari sa mga schools except through my pamangkins. hehe. natuloy ba yung K-12 program itong school year? Nagpost kasi ang Rex Book Store sa Facebook fan page nila about it and was wondering if they really pushed through with it this school year If ever, sana beneficial talaga siya and not something that'll just lengthen a kid's number of years in school. Lol. If I were to introduce something new to our school system, it would probably be more interactive learning like what Rex Interactive - http://www.rexinteractive.com/global/index.php is trying to promote - learning online that involves both the parents and teachers as well

... yes, it's now implemented... all enrollees of this school year will graduate in Grade 12

Hopefully, given with the K+12 program, prospective college students should not be burdened with the overwhelming presence of general education subjects that eat up the first two years of college (like the NSTP program). Most of the subjects on Grades 11-12 are just equivalents of tertiary Gen. Educ. subjects. I wonder how DepEd can tackle more unusual subjects such as Philosophy and Psychology in secondary education.

That's how I understand it.

This, plus I don't think equipped ang mga secondary teachers na magturo ng mga specific fields of interests gaya ng psychology, philosophy, materials engineering, mining engineering, tourism, food technology, and so on. Iba paren na mga nag MA/PhD na yung mga nagtuturo kasi they're both academicians + practitioners in their field.

In my opinion, premature ang pageenforce netong K-12 na to. Sa face value lang siya siguro maganda :\
