Google's Playable Doodle to Commemorate Father of Computer Science

Today's doodle is, in fact, a really cute mini-game. And somehow the google geeks were able to circumvent infinite loops, so to compsci and math majors, your efforts will be futile.

In my humble opinion, he's our version of Einstein, our own Euler, given how young our field is. Alan Turing deserves more recognition for what he did during the war. It's a shame that the government he helped to save was the very one that drove him into committing suicide.

Cheers to the great mind that was Alan Turing!

Bale your goal is to make sure that the numbers in the strip is the same as the one specified sa upper-right window.

'Yung mga bilog naman sa baba 'yung instruction set. You have to start from the left (yung may play button) then proceed to the right unless you are made to go on a loop. What you have to do is to press the yellow buttons and change it to the appropriate instruction para at the end of the run 'yung nasa strip eh kaparehas na nung nasa window sa taas.

Bale sa instruction set, you have arrows, which instruct the head ('yung square sa gitna) to move across the strip in a certain direction.

There are also numbers (either 0 or 1) to change the content of a particular cell.

Then meron din nung may square sa taas and arrow. Bale decision point 'yun. If the cell being read by the head corresponds to the condition of the instruction, then you move to the next instruction indicated by the arrow. Otherwise, you just move to right of the instruction set as much as possible.

Once you're done, just click the play button then isi-simulate na niya. If you're successful, makukulayan bawat letter ng Google logo.

The game's a Turing machine, which has the capacity to simulate algorithms and explain how CPUs essentially work.
