    Ateneo Honors Program

I heard BS ME is an honors program and that you need to be part of the Top 15% of the ACET takers to take those courses. How hard is getting in the that Top 15%? I've been searching a lot on google for sample tests regarding the ACET but I could hardly find any (unlike the UPCAT) so I don't really know what to expect in the ACET. What kind of Math should I know? Do I need to know Chem, Physics or Bio? So many questions.

    Hi there!

I graduated bs me, and honestly, the only review i took was the one offered sa school namin. Honestly, hindi ko na maalala yung type of questions sa acet, pero nothing too hard if i remember it correctly. Wala pa namang calculus... May konting trigo na ata... Yung sciences, sobrang di ko na maalala... Yung english, ok lang... Minor nosebleed lang, hahaha

Hi there! Good choice on considering Ateneo as a prospective school to enter~

Now, BS ME is a very nice course to choose. Yep, you need to be part of Top 15% of the ACET takers to qualify for the course. With enough determination and skill, you can break through the requirement with a breeze.

ACET covers more ground in comparison to the UPCAT. ACET has three major parts, the Mathematical Proficiency Test, the English Aptitude Test (a lot of English-related questions + essay) and a General Aptitude Test (Abstract Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, General Information, Mathematical Ability, among others, since I don't remember everything I took.) No need to stress on your Science subjects, but make sure to sharpen your Math and English skills.

Good luck on taking the ACET! When you pass, alam na.

When I took the ACET there was no science part, but to hell with the English and Math areas, ANG HIRAP!

Up to this day, I still have no idea how I passed the ACET. To be honest, I found ACET light years away from UPCAT. The former was definitely more difficult.

But no need to stress out though. Just review lots of trigo and a few calculus functions. For the English area, start reading a dictionary and a thesaurus daily.

Getting into the top 15% is competitive because you will be competing with the scores of other students. But if you do well in the ACET, no problem na yan.

Don't stress too much about the ACET. They will test you on things that you're supposed to know.

I got into an honours program (BS Bio) when I was in Ateneo. I found out later on that I didn't do well at all in the Math section. Siguro I got lucky lang or a lot of people did badly kaya I made it in the top 15%.

I was in an honors program (BS Bio) and honestly, I don't know how I got in the Top 15%. And honestly, I was surprised that some people in Top 15% honors courses are sometimes the most sabaw and sometimes patapon people I've ever met.

But yeah, study Math. The Math they teach in review centers were similar to the ones that show up in the ACET.

Guys, ang sabi sa amin ay to get into an honors program, you have to be in the top 15% of PASSERS. I'm in an honors program myself (BS Health Sci) and sabi sa amin passers daw.
