Is this what you are referring to?

It's what some gardening services on Sulit (from Laguna) are selling as frog grass.

I don't think this is what we want.

For the ground cover I want something dense and compact, to keep dust and erosion down. I made the mistake of clearing the old carabao grass from the backyard during the summer leaving only bare soil and the amount of airborne dust and dirt in and around the house increased noticeably.
Here's a pic of my side garden's frog grass after a rain.

I notice frog grass doesn't grow up, but rather sideways and I never had to cut it.

Over time, it does get dense and compact, but this only happens under full sun. In the shade, the grass blades grow longer sideways but the grass itself doesn't spread out as quickly - just like in the pic you posted.

I have bermuda in my front lawn, and given the option, I'd rather have the frog grass. Kaya lang, sayang din yung bermuda.

Bermuda is nice but it's too much work - at least for me. Good luck.

Thanks again. That indeed looks better. Unfortunately the back yard is shaded by a tall wall and the house, so I'd end up with the sparse frog grass photo.

Ano po ang tawag dito? Saka paano propagation?

Not as easy to grow lithops dito sa atin. You can try asking nurseries in higher altitudes. Lithops are very hard to come by, usually imported ng collector. I think I might have extra seeds if you want to try to grow them yourself. Mabilis mag germinate pero hard to keep alive.
