The 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup will be held in Brazil in 2013, as a prelude to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The tournament is expected to be held from 15 to 30 June 2013. Brazil are the defending champions.

Japan (AFC) - 2011 AFC Asian Cup winner

Tahiti (OFC) - 2012 OFC Nations Cup Winner
TBD (UEFA) - Euro 2012 winner (or runner-up in case Spain wins)
TBD (CAF) - 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner

OFC favourites, New Zealand, was actually defeated by New Caledonia in the semi-finals of the 2012 OFC Nations Cup. Tahiti then defeated New Caledonia in the finals.

Now it will be very interesting how Tahiti will fare up when it faces Brazil or Spain. 8-0? 10-0? LOL

No disrespect to the team, but we all know the reality of the gap. Maybe the PFF should set up a friendly with the 2012 OFC Champions?

Pede namang magkaroon sila ng regional tournament, tapos kung sino mananalo dun, sila ang lalaban para sa qualifiers. May pagka-inevitable kasi ang pag-alis ng NZ. Pag puro small island countries na lang natira, aba e parang napaka-insignificant na ng OFC.
