As for my prediction, the top spot's still a toss-up between UP and FEU. For the past three years, the battle for the trophy has really only been between these two schools. UP Pep may have the upper hand at the moment, but we all know how talented and skilled those cheerleaders from FEU are. Actually, sa choreography lang naman talaga nagkakatalo eh.

I believe the remaining top 3 spot is a 4-way battle between UST, Ateneo, La Salle, and NU.

Kaso, ang problema sa La Salle, inconsistent ang performances nila.

I'd like to see NU land a podium finish as well. Crowd favorite sila last year.

for all of us who's not yet aware (even those who already knew it), i stumbled upon a nice matrix showing the current standings of all squads in the history of CDC.



Obviously, UST SDT currently holds the most championships but overall, UP Pep already has the most podium finishes throughout the competition.

This year's compet will definitely shift these data. My points to ponder are "Will it become a tie now for UP and UST?" and "Can NU mark a point for a possible podium finish (first runner up, maybe? the trend seems to be that way)."

Sa tingin mo, babalik na kaya sa Sunday imbis na Saturday (last year) ng UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2012?

And has the venue been set in stone already? Sana kinonsider ng NU yung mahirap na logistics para sa cheerdance kung sa MOA Arena gaganapin...

I would be very happy if UST will manage to be in the Top 3 but let's be realistic. They have good concept and choreo, that's mostly it.

They don't have the brawns of UP & FEU. They don't fly as good as AS & BBB. And if they will not keep up, NU will surpass them.

I believe na papasok pa rin ang DLSU Animo Squad sa top 3 this year it's a cheerdance competition so ang laki points ng choreography which I think plus factor sa team which we all know na si Coach Ruffa ang may handle sa kanila. When it comes to Stunts given na to sa Animo Squad na malakas talaga ang bases nila toss to hand mounting, one man base stunts, cupie, double fulldown dismount, full-ups mounting konting practice lang sa form ng flyer at flexibility Tumblings although one of their gymnast ay graduate na I think kaya pa rin imanage to with the presence of their two gymnast who can do synchronized RO-BH-BH-BH-FULL, yung isa pa nga last filoil clc did R0-BH-BH-FULL-BH-BH-FULL, ang kailangan nilang iwork out is yung passes ng mga boys sana madagdagan pa Tosses 2 fulltwist, 1 double fulltwists, 7 x-out, 2 pike-open, 3 layouts lahat ng to ay base sa NCC at FILOIL CLC hoping na may bagong skills sa toss na maworkout ang ANIMO SQUAD. Pyramid I think hindi tayo matatalo dito basta like last year sana masurprise ulit ang lasallian community. Goodluck DLSU Animo Squad! We still bekieve kahit puro rookies! ANIMO!

Hello! Ito ang pika-first post ko dito sa PEx, at para sa CDC ay gumawa ako ng account. Hehehehe...

Ito naman ang fearless forecast ko:

1. UP - syempre love your own at saka aminin natin magaling talaga sila.

2. FEU - powerhouse talaga sila sa tumbling passes, they just need to improve their mounts especially sa pyramids. Syempre nandun pa rin ang mga babaeng walang buto kaya andaming forms pwedeng gawin atleast sa floor choreo

3. NU - Malakas talaga ang mga new recruits nila, most have more than 6 years of competitive gymnastics experience. Madagdagan ng atleast dalawa ang 2 full twisters nila (Justice Gimeno & Strawberry Amistoso). The members will definitely deliver, the challenge ay nasa coaching and creative team nila kung kaya nilang gumawa ng isang pasbog routine...and I think they can.

Although malaking factor ang coach for winning a competition, I don't think Salinggawi would finish 7th dahil lang sa coach. I think Salinggawi would have better scores this year dahil magkakaroon na sila ng bagong coach/choreographer. Unless mas improved ang ibang squads compared to SDT, possible naman na bumaba ang ranking ng UST pero better scores. I know Salinggawi can still pull off an impressive routine that will bring them back to Top 3.

Very tight race for UST, DLSU, FEU, and NU for podium finish.
Strong possibility for UP to match UST's 8 titles via a three-peat.
UE will be last.

Classes have already started and UST is still recruiting SDT members. I see his post and ranking quite relevant. It currently shows their lack of talent.
