not all, depende sa competition. There are some international competitions na nagrerequire na hindi dapat lumabas sa performance area ang performers. Ganyan sa worlds, NCA, NCAA, UCA at CWC.

^ well ang problema hindi alam yan ng karamihan ng fans so napapa-praning sila sa kakaisip na dinaya yung team nila.

  5. #3005
so baka di ganun sa CDC. kasi 2010, 2011 lumalabas naman sila ng mats before ng tumbling passes.

peke o totoo, kita-kita next year...

UP, it wasn't perfect but it was just a cut above the rest in terms of choreography, tosses, pyramids, difficulty woven into a mind boggling composition.... parang nagbabasa ka ng derrida, foucault o barthes. it was a discourse... from the hair, to the costume, to the music, to the choreography to the pyramids. The entire performance was a text being acted in front of you...and you no longer mind the fall...kasi napuno ka na ng grasya at sustansiya.

FEU, tinimbang ka ngunit kulang...next year...try harder. hindi na uubra ang mga flashy happy feet, madagascar, showtime-ish, routine. it was entertaining, but noon time shows are entertaining too. too literal and it doesn't bring you to a new level of aesthetic experience.

After watching the routine all over again... I think that Lasalle shouldve gotten the 4th place. medyo hindi masyadong na-explore ang boxing as a concept. to cheerdance with gloves...medyo limiting sa movements. it was too literal. what's exciting about boxing is the pain, the possibility of a knock out, not the gloves. so explore-explore pa ng concept.

UST, becking-becky ang choreography at super naenjoy ko siya nang live...i must say, an improvement from last year, dapat lang. pero double time! baka tuluyan nang magdepreciate ang Salinggawi brand. what's exciting about mardigras? diba ang pagiging, free-for-all niya? freestyle movements, na medyo delirious at some point? asan yun?

ADMU, what happened? ang ganda ng costume pero the pop culture references fell flat. again too literal...

ADU, the most promising group i think...andyan ang skills, may problema lang sa execution and its too generic.

    UE oh well...

May nabanggit sa segment nung rules at the start of the coverage sa Studio 23 na hindi considered out of bounds kung magpapalit ng costume, magpe-prepare ng props, etc sa labas ng mats. So, this could also mean na kapag naghihintay ka ng turn mo outside the mat, hindi siya violation. As long as sa mat ka siguro kumuha ng buwelo sa tumbling, okay na.

  8. #3008
Kung hindi naman part ng performance, like dadaan lang, then pwede. But NU's performers having parts of their heels and toes outside the mats when prepping for a pass, or dancing and doing motions? FEU cheerdancer's foot going out of the mats during one dance?

Sorry, but I really felt that deductions were not given accordingly, lalo na sa 3rd placers. Tanggap ko na first ang UP despite one majore fall since they bested everyone in motions, synchronization, pyramids, and mounting techniques. FEU came second because despite having a more perfect run, they incurred quite a number of bobbles, and mounting techniques were not as impressive as UPs.

CDC was judged in a way similar to NCC. Judging the difficulty of each stunt is pretty much the same as that in the NCC, there's only the addition of dance techniques, synchronization and such.

Mami iamgreen, pakisabi sa La Salle boys, thank you for wearing shorts yesterday.

Yup, masasabing improvement for FEU this year dance nila, flashy/maganda tignan and maganda mga formations, pero pag tignan mo steps ng UP Pep mas snappy/complex yung movement. I would say I'll give more merit to UP's Hiphop/Contemporary/Jazz inspired dance moves than FEU's Tamaraw/Wild animal dance.

maganda namang ang FEU dance steps, masarap panoorin, pero they're all about mimicry. mimic the panther, the african safari animal, the tamaraw (kaya nag-mask), mimic the animal tail, the costume...the crawling dancesteps..nothing bad about mimicry...kasi nung baby tayo, yun ang unang paraan ng pagkatuto...but it's when we mature that we go beyond mimicry and process every little detail in this world (e.g. world of cheerdance) as discourses and live by our point of view. So yun siguro ang kulang...point of view.

At yun ang strength ni Coach Lala...yung consciousness niya sa POV...pagflex o pag-point ng toes, alam niya ang difference, mahaba, pagpapablond o maikling buhok, yung mga pag pause, yung pagbatingting sa music, yung costume, yung pagshake ng ulo...ang akala nila pag humiga ka at pagsunod-sunod kayong bumangon in some stylized way ay yun na...while it creates a visual feast, how does it tie everything up into a worldview or a statement to humanity? at the end of the day, baka eto ang natutunan mo sa UP, at ang isang PEP squad routine perfectly illustrates this. Bakit sobrang support ng ISKO at ISKA sa UP Pep, dahil ba 8 ang first place nila? Dahil mga chinito at magaganda sila? Hindi, we support them kasi, napapamura ka na lang talaga minsan habang iniisip mong "shunginalungs at sheeet, paano nila naisip yun?"

  19. #3019
Please wag natin idamay yung statement ni Coach Jacq, we all know what she really meant.

She's been with the squad for a very long time, she's the main reason bakit lagi nasa top 3 ang FEU. Respect to her hardworks and determination...

    Salamat.
