^Unless your car has a high-performance, high-compression engine, using hi-octane is a waste of money.

Yup, parehas lang yan in most cases.

^Marketing crap. Octane rating is just an indication of how easy (or rather how hard) it is to burn gasoline. Gas engines need a spark from spark plugs to burn. Simply put, gas must wait for that spark before it burns if you want the engine to perform well. Problema sa hi-compression engines, sometimes if the octane is low, the gas burns before there is even a spark (so called tope or engine knocking), acting like a diesel engine. But if you are using a low compression, non-high performance engine, as long as the octane is at the minimum recommended by the car/engine manufacturer, going higher is useless, no performance benefit and waste of money.

I totally agree. If you're driving a sub-compact like a vios or a compact like an altis, civic or 3, then you're better off with unleaded fuel. Unleaded is also great for innovas, avanzas, accents, lancers, and many more.

For city driving, stick with unleaded, for provincial driving, premium helps get a higher mileage with better throttle response at the cost of a high price. beside from that, no added benefits.

I fill up with Xtreme97 from SeaOil. I get it for the same price (sometimes lower) as regular unleaded from the Big three.

Since pareho din lang naman ang presyo, sa 97 RON na lang ako.

Kung pareho lang ang price, ok lang. Pero kung mas mahal, eh dun ka na sa mas mura.
