Why would a priest ally himself with someone with no political power, who is politically dead and jailed in an army hospital? Again desperate attempt to discredit the group by making tsimis na PGMA is the one na nasa likod nito.

I'm not in favor of ousting the current president, maybe a protest showing their dissatisfaction with his performance is more acceptable.

this is just completely retarded. it's just making the philippines look like a country who isn't mature enough to stick to due process even on slight issues.

hello?

Kaya nga same old, same old. Oust one, put in place another; may progress ba? Syempre the people behind the oust movement would only want what is "due" to them--special favors, their own agenda, etc. No progress at all.

President Aquino reluctant to lose either Henares or De Lima to SC
    AMITA O. LEGASPI, GMA News June 12, 2012 1:08am

President Benigno Aquino III is reluctant to lose either Justice Secretary Leila de Lima or Internal Revenue chief Kim Henares to the Supreme Court chief justice post, describing both as the “most feared” in his administration and very effective in their present jobs.

Henares and De Lima were nominated before the Judicial Bar and Council for the chief justice position.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said that an appointment for either of the two women has “crossed his (Aquino’s) mind.”

De Lima was nominated for the chief justice post Monday by the Volunteers against Crime and Corruption while Henares was nominated June 8 by lawyer Elpidio Jamorato.

Both indicated that they were open to it, although De Lima said she has much work to do as Justice secretary, and Henares stressed she would not actively apply for the job.

    Presidential assets

Aquino, in an earlier interview in London, said he preferred that De Lima remain in his Cabinet.

De Lima is deemed an asset to the Justice Department, according to former Justice chief Alberto Agra, who cited De Lima's track record as a human rights lawyer.

Prior to being Justice Secretary, De Lima was head of the Commission on Human Rights where she handled the Ampatuan Massacre.

Henares, on the other hand, is Aquino's workhorse in his effort to solve tax evasion cases in the country and increase tax collections.

Latest data from the Bureau of Internal Revenue shows the agency has 111 pending tax evasion cases, including those against former General Carlos Garcia and his brother in law Edgardo Yambao, and former Congressman Prospero Pichay.

Henares was appointed as BIR chief in 2010, while De Lima’s appointment remains unresolved before the Commission on Appointments.

President Aquino said he would talk to De Lima to personally relay his opinion on the matter of the chief justice post.

Lacierda believed that the President would also do the same to Henares. —AE/DVM/VS, GMA News

iniisip ko anong mali sa tactic ni abnoy?! exerting political will and getting an alleged "corrupt" official in jail (GMA). anong trip ng mga tao at nagrereklamo

point of view ng insiders --- "what's new corrupt din naman iba". kasi ganyan na ka-immune ang citizens kampihan pa ang corrupt.
pero... foreigner's point of view --- "HOPELESS na tong 60th MOST CORRUPT country pakakawalan ulit ang isang corrupt".

dapat nagrerejoice mga tao makukulong si gloria (kung talagang may sala). ito lang nga yung may platform to clean up government eh. kahit di perfect pagtyagaan na baka umubra.

may positive outlook parin ako amidst chaos.

By this time, people are already sick and tired of these oust mov'ts. From Cory to Erap to GMA to Pnoy. What can the people benefit from this? Or, is it only to benefit a particular group of people or the whole nation? Are they speaking for the whole nation or for themselves only?
I'm speaking here for the whole nation. I really want to change our constitution. How about others?

I don't really care about corruption for as along as nakikita ko na umaangat ang buhay ng bawat Juan dela Cruz. That's what I really want for all of us.
