Makisawsaw na rin ako sa magiging draft:
Ang magiging in-demand are the big men.
2)Greg Slaughter - dapat nang magpa-draft.He is 25 years old na yata.
3)Clifford Hodge - 6'6 with guard skills. Puedeng maglaro ng 4,3 at even 2 position.
4)KELLY not NINO Nabong - certified 4 at 5. Wide body, 6'6, very athletic, and strong defender.
5)Vic Manuel - 6'5 athletic and polished skills. Kapag ang team ay di mangailangan ng 5 si Manuel ang pinakamagandang prospect.
6) Calvin Abueva - 6'3 yata ito .Medyo small na para sa 4 position pero this guy is bull-strong at very athletic din.
7) Alex Mallari - puedeng 2,3 at 4. Parang Arwind Santos ang galaw.
8)Dave Marcelo - 6'5 wide body. Kung kailangan ng team ang another big man, mahirap na rin palampasin ito.
9) Eugene(tama ba?) Taja - parang WTF?@. This guy looks like 6'8. Medyo hilaw pa ,pero palagy ko may potential basta mapunta sa tamang team(San mapunta sa RoS)
10)Keith Jensen - puedeng 4 or 3.
Sa palagay ko lang mas big man ang lahat ng makukuha sa 1st round.
Jason Deutchman draft stock going DOWN way DOWN hahah

If Ginebra's coaching Staff would not change Ramos would be one of their draft picks Siot and Jong we knew are ahem the best in handling your typical big men..kahit sapaw sya kay Raymundo siot want his big men who can hit the outside shot same time block shots something rico can't do(in siots eyes)...
So for the purists you can call this years editions draft the SMC gold rush ............
Parang nag tank mode na alaska and air 21 for the top pick. May plan B ba SMC if Alaska gets that #1 pick?
Unless Junmar Fajardo joins the D-League, he won't be eligible to join the PBA Rookie Draft for 2012. The requirement is either to play for the national team (similar case with JVee Casio, Marcio Lassiter and Chris Lutz) or to play in the D-League (Paul Lee) to become eligible. Playing in the ABL won't make him eligible. Unless SMC decides to field a team in the D-League next conference and field in Fajardo (and Banchero) to make them eligible for the draft. But I think they need to play for at least 2 D-League conferences.
I think this is where the RSA-MVP rivalry will be highlighted once more. MVP will try to prevent the top amateurs that are not in the SMC fold to join the draft this early and instead, play for the SMART-Gilas national team. They will wait until the SMC teams do not have control of the top draft picks in the league and maneuver their way to get the top picks in the future drafts.
The plum prizes really are Greg Slaughter and Bobby Ray Parks. I can't see the MVP group giving up their rights on Slaughter in the same way that the RSA team would give up on Parks. Which is why both groups are finding ways to prevent their key players from suiting up for the rival group.
Petron has 2 out of 3 lottery picks w/c are the Air21 at Barako. Siguro Kung makuha ng Aces ang First overall, mapipilitan ang petron to offer their 2 top picks for the Aces 1st overall.
I dont think Alaska will gamble on drafting Junmar. JF's performance is down in the ABL either due to his lack of minutes, o dahil kaya lack of minutes dahil walang trust from the coaching staff.
Alaska has the recent example of 6'9" bigman bust in their roster, and gambling on a another bigman will be a high risk decision. Tsaka kulang sila sa consistent perimeter scorer, and marami yun sa incoming draft. Drafting JF will not be good for them. Maliban na lang gawin nilang trade bait.
Greg Slaughter hindi pa ata sasali yun. Chris Tiu magreretire na lang yan as an amateur.wahahahahaha
Kung Alaska ang number 1, they'll get Cliff Hodge, o dahil need nila ng power scorer, Calvin Abueva
Imagine Calvin Abueva and Gabby Espinas together in a white Aces Uniform.hehehehe
Thanks for the clarification Leo, DW and Ryster. My bad really - the logic indeed is that the ruling should only be applicable for Fil-Foreign players. I completely forgot about that scenario when I first posted this.
So many factors have to be considered in this regard. Will Alaska remain to be a PBA franchise holder by next season or will they fold up? Will a new franchise owner associated with either the MVP or RSA camps or an independent one buy the Alaska franchise?
Let's assume, to simplify the discussion, that Alaska remains in the PBA. If they snare the top draft pick, Noli Eala has to find a way to convince Joaqui Trillo not to draft Junmar Fajardo. They can do the same approach in 1998 when they convinced Shell to swap picks (#2 and #1) plus cash considerations. The problem is the RSA Group is probably the last franchise that Alaska would want to deal with. If Petron collars the top pick of the draft, then everything would be smooth for them. If not, Fajardo may not be given the go signal to join the draft this year. Or if not, they really have to offer something considerable to Alaska to swap picks.
Fajardo remains to be a project though. He's a disappointment in the ABL, although people will argue that with two American imports per team, it would be difficult for him to do well. The problem is that he seems completely lost in the SMC maze of plays. Coach Bobby Parks is also not exploiting his skills that much, or if so, he just can't seem to strut his usual stuff. It remains to be seen how effective he'll be in the PBA. The last thing in the world is for Petron to see a second coming of a Samigue Eman in their midst.
IF no championship for Petron this season , better trade either JWash or Arwind, or BOTH to secure high draft picks this year.
Alaska will surely think twice if JWash plus maybe Joseph Yeo offered for their 2nd pick.
i will not be surprised if Alex Mallari and Kelly Nabong will be in the top 5.
Madaming magagaling na fil-foreign players ngayon.
But I don't think it would happen. Maybe a straight up trade between J-Wash and the 2nd pick overall would suffice...
