The first Mrs. Philippines Search, Contest, and Pageant was held and staged in May 2009 at the Aliw Theater in the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex in Manila.

The first Mrs. Universe-Philippines winner and title holder was Mrs. Camilla Kim-Galvez, a businesswoman who is a former TV Reporter of ABS-CBN Channel 2 and co-host of 700 Club-Asia in Manila. She finished as Second Runner-up placer in the 2009 Mrs. Universe Pageant which was held in Riga City, the national capital of Latvia (in Europe).

The global Mrs. Universe Competition was organized and started in 2007 by the Mrs. Universe Ltd. headed by Ms. Megi Savova in Sofia City, the national capital of Bulgaria (in Europe). It was in 2009 when the first-ever Mrs. Philippines Pageant was organized that enabled the Philippines to send its official delegate to the annual Mrs. Universe, dubbed The Mother of All Pageants.

In 2010, international multi-award-winning beauty queen and licensed Civil Engineer Muriel Moral-Pandi (or Lala, her nickname), the 1988 Binibining Pilipinas-Maja International (who won the Miss Maja Simpatica and the Best in National Costume international awards at the 1988 Miss Maja International Pageant, the global Hispanic-inspired beauty competition held in Puerto Rico), was officially chosen as Mrs. Universe-Philippines and competed at the 2010 Mrs. Universe Pageant held in Vilnius City, the national capital of Lithuania (in Europe). She won the Mrs. Universe-Intelligence, the first-ever-awarded Intelligence title in the Universe.

The reigning Mrs. Universe-Philippines 2011 is Mrs. Erilene "Eren" Noche-Tumali, a bank executive and a Rotarian. She is the incumbent President of the Rotary Club of Roces in Manila's Quezon City, and the Assistant Vice President of the Malayan Savings Bank in Manila's Pasig City.

She got two international awards at the 2011 Mrs. Universe Pageant held at the Kailaka tourist spot in Bulgaria (in Europe): the Mrs. Universe Limited Award because of her exemplary behavior and good advocacy, and the Mrs. Sponsors Award because she was well-liked by the sponsors among the candidates.
