Which best kind of orchid to buy? suggestions needed please

Hi there. I love flowers and plants but I thought orchids will beautify our garden in the house.
Please if you have any suggestions as to which type of orchid is preferrable to buy, do let me know? and if they are available in Alabang area? thank you

It depend on your prevailing weather condition, place where do you intent to place your orchid , amount of sunlight , availability of the orchid, adaptability and which orchid species or hybrids flowers which may last for weeks or even months.

Generally , in the Philippines, the most in demand orchid that they use in landscape are semi-terete Vandas - they can withstand full sunlight but not direct .

Another favorite is the Dendrobium hybrids which includes Dendrobium anosmum ( sanggumay ) which blooms during February to late May depending on the region or place.

Cattleya is okey but it needed cooler day and night temperature in order to bloom .

While for events or special occasions, Try Dendrobium hybrids in pots and it will create a lavish live flower arrangement which can last for several weeks to even a month ! Just PM me if you have any questions !
