Fifty Shades Books by E.L James (definitely not for teens)

I am on my second book already and I just started this over the weekend. You could easily see the similarities between Edward/Bella and Christian/Anastasia. The way the book was written, you'd know it was born out of fanfic from the Twilight Series. The story involves around two characters only, though I'm glad that certain characters in this trilogy play more important roles than those in the Twilight trilogy (Mrs. Lincoln, Kate, Taylor).

I couldn't find the right word to read this book until I found it here. barelythere is absolutely right. It's amusing. There are kilig moments but that's it. It's surreal, really. A virgin who was introduced to the world of BDSM and how she copes with the darkness that is called Christian Grey. The books revolve around BDSM and in its basic form, sex. It's like sex everywhere!

I want Matt Bomer to play Mr. Christian Grey and Felicity Jones would be perfect as Anastasia. Matt Bomer is the only actor I can picture saying, "I'm going to take you now, Anastasia," no matter how corny that sounds.

Sobra nga ang hype nito. Haven't read any of the books, not even an excerpt.

Curious ako: kung aalisin mo lahat ng erotic material nya, may substance pa ba yung story? As in meron ba itong tunay na literary value? O talagang ang focus nya ay sex and romance lang? At wala ka nang mapupulot na iba?

chances are it's not. that's where the challenge comes in

I have an 82 year old client and I found a purchase for this book while reviewing her expenses for the year. Haha. Well, even 82 year olds have needs.

I read this because of the hype. Pero the story is not remarkable and the sex scenes are vanilla.

out of curiosity I read this book...

I started reading this Last Thursday and finished all the 3 books by saturday eve.. (adik lang..haha) ...

among the 3, mas nagustuhan ko yung book 3...although medyo nabitin ako dun sa last part...yung thoughts na ni Christian Grey...

story wise, so so...though i had fun reading it...haha...you know...the kilig moments

btw, while reading the book...I remembered Twilight!almost the same story...
