Blokes read this book and it's porn. Women read them and it's suddenly called literature!
The author is now laughing his/her way to the bank.
Alright, I know the trilogy has been categorized as erotic slash adult, but I didn't expect too much of this kinky f*kery; as if watching one porn clip after another, all throughout the story -- same characters, different setting/role (really sounds like porn clips).
I think the whole trilogy/story minus all the f*ckery, could be written in just one book. There's just too many s*xing that I tell myself, "Okay, okay! I get it! They like to have s*x, all the time... anytime... anywhere! Enough already. Message received. Got it! Now, can we move on with the story?"
I'm not a saint and definitely not conservativeBut for a trilogy, how many times does the author have to send the message that the two like to "play"? I should say, near the end of book 1, I started skipping the s*x-ing parts. It just became un-exciting. I understand that the author has to build the characters, but it just dragged on. At some point, I even thought, "Oh jeez, is the author narrating another of her multitude of fantasies? Or is she writing yet another s*x scene just to make this whole thing a trilogy?" Bah!
On the other hand -- I love their email banter, especially the email signatures
[spoiler start]
P.S.: What's with Linc's part in the Hyde plan? Was there any clue, at all, to that? I must admit, I definitely did not expect it. But then, I may have overlooked (or skipped) the part where there was a clue. [spoiler end]

Thank you.
You should read the summary of the book before deciding to read it. It already said there that it is erotic and all. We Filipinos are so closed minded that if there are scenes like that, we tend to panic and judge it right away. E.L. James is a good writer, her own style is to make every scenes in the books as detailed and specific as possible. It so happened that these books involve two people who are in every aspect different but came to love each other in an extraordinary hard, practical and true-to-life ways. Appreciate the story! And if you are a good-reader enough, you'll deal with the feelings of the characters more, than on the love making or Grey-****-hard scenes.
my friends are so addicted to this
Uhmm...maybe there are some of us who are not close-minded but find these books badly written? I for one am not afraid of erotic stuff. What I am curious about, as I have asked already, what would a reader get out of this trilogy other than the sex scenes?
Those who enjoy these books, there's nothing wrong with that, nor should anybody feel defensive. It's all a matter of taste.
Appreciation comes naturally. It's never forced. It's either you enjoy it or not.
Done reading all 3 (yes because of the hype, got curious). Ayun! No. This is definitely not for teens. I agree sa ibang nagpost dito, this is not a literature.
Laters!![]()
I've heard a lot of extremely hyped feedbacks about this book and so I got curious. I really took time to look for this from powerbooks, nbs, fully booked na halos nasuyod ko na ata yung mga branches nito in makati and to my dismay walang stock! Kelangan pa magpa reserve at andaming nagpapareserve. They just asked for my contact # so that they could notify me right away kung available na LOL.
I'm only in the 10th chapter of the first book, and boy, I'm tired already
E.L. James makes Stephenie Meyer a literary genius.
Hehehe.
just finished reading the 3 books! gusto ko yung mga kilig moments and the bonus part at the end of book 3
i also really want to see who will be casted as christian grey if this will become a movie. i will vote for ian somerhalder and matt bomer![]()
This is the worst writing i've ever read in my whole life
Finally I was able to get one lol. I find it more amusing than interesting. Also I just gotta mention this, I feel the need to LOL...There were times while reading the book that I can't help but frown...There were some grammar lapses??? Well not that I'm saying I'm an expert but dear lord even a grade school student would notice.
I honestly dont think the problem that it is an erotic book; the problem is, it is TOO MUCH.
I am not sure if erotic books should be really written like this or there are erotic books out there that I haven't discovered yet which actually have substance.
Just like what some people say here, if you will delete all the erotic scenes, all the stories left are suffice to create one book.. just ONE book.
The problem is NOT really because it is erotic, but because it is written badly and lack of substance.
Okay, I am still trying to finish Book 3.. Jeezzz, I'll start reading 3 pages and then I get bored.
Anastasia, gets annoying too. IMHO. Hhhmmm...
I can finish this. So help me God.![]()
