Actor Ji Hyun Woo shocked the fans confessing his real feelings for Yoo In Na.

At the wrap up party/fan meeting for tvN‘s drama ‘Queen In Hyun’s Man’ Ji Hyun Woo stated, “I wanted to make this confession in front of the fans who really like our drama. I really like Yoo In Na. Please look forward to us with kind hearts”, and he surprised everyone with his confession.

Continuing Ji Hyun Woo’s statement, “I think you have be truly honest. The director promised me that he’ll help me find the innocence in me again and I really did become a better person again through the drama. There was a scene on episode 14 where I confessed my love for Yoo In Na. I couldn’t get myself in an emotional state to act out the scene and that’s when Yoo In Na came close to me and inserted an earphone in my ear. I couldn’t stop crying at that moment”, and he explained how his feelings grew for her.

After hearing Ji Hyun Woo make his confession Yoo In Na looked noticeably taken aback and stated, “After we finish this event I think we’ll have to have a serious talk”, and she chose to say very little about it.

Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na were originally scheduled to attend the cake cutting ceremony and also to meet the fans who attended the event, but the latter parts of the ceremony were cut short after Ji Hyun Woo’s confession.

An insider at the event stated, “After Ji Hyun Woo made the surprise confession all actors left the premise in a hurry.”

Ji Hyun Woo did the unprecedented and unexpected; he confessed his love for an actress in public.

On June 7, Ji Hyun Woo confessed his love for Yoo In Na at the fanmeeting for tvN’s Queen In Hyun’s Man, saying, “I really love Yoo In Na. I hope you look on us kindly.”


The combination itself wasn’t that surprising. Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na had been caught up in such rumors ever since the beginning of the drama due to their tight teamwork.

The incident itself is surprising, however, because this is the first time a celebrity has confessed his love first in public before actually getting into a relationship or having the rumors hit the press.

As surprising as the event is, there were actually a few signs that showed how enamored the actor had been with Yoo In Na while shooting Queen In Hyun’s Man.

Most recently, when the drama was in its last stages of production, he dropped by the set even though he had finished shooting his own scenes.

It’s unusual for an actor to appear on set when he’s finished shooting his own parts, but Ji Hyun Woo did so, and even tried to rouse laughter with his humorous antics. He put himself in charge of the slate, and wrote down such funny lines as ‘Cameras no. 2 and 3 have such an obvious angle’ and ‘You’ve worked hard to edit all this’.



Thanks to their great teamwork, the couple’s kiss scenes especially felt more realistic. The ‘tippy-toes’ kiss that gathered issues online on May 24 is an example.

The ‘tippy-toes’ kiss took place when Yoo In Na, who was 22cm smaller than Ji Hyun Woo, started to stand on tip toes while exchanging a kiss and continued to creep closer until she had climbed on top of Ji Hyun Woo’s feet. The scene especially drew out its romantic mood through a one-minute-long long-take.

Even before Queen In Hyun’s Man, the two had shared a brief encounter.

During the press conference for Queen In Hyun’s Man held on April 16, Ji Hyun Woo had said, “Before my debut, I had met with Yoo In Na before, about 10 years ago.”

To this Yoo In Na had added, “When I was aiming to be a singer, my friend was a vocalist for The Nuts. She introduced me to the members once, and that was when I saw the guitarist Ji Hyun Woo.”

Producer Kim Byung Soo had even said, “I hope the two really start going out with each other near the drama’s end,” with Ji Hyun Woo answering, “That would be an honor on my part. She’s beautiful, pure and has a great complexion.”

All these jokes ultimately came true on June 7, following the end of the drama.

On the live radio broadcast of KBS Radio’s Yoo In Na’s Turn The Volume Up that aired on June 8 at 8:00 p.m, she started off by saying, “I missed you today.”

In the opening Yoo read, “Do you know an animal called meerkat? The animal sleeps at night and comes out in the morning to absorb heat from the sun. Africans called these animals ‘sun angels’ who protect their village. Do not hide even though you are afraid. Your existence itself will provide energy to others.”

A representative of YG Entertainment stated on the 8th, “We believe Ji Hyun Woo made a very emotional statement. After a meeting we’ve concluded that it will be best to not announce an official position on the matter.”

He also chose to wrap up the issue himself without going through his agency or any official press releases, because his confession was a personal issue in the first place.

Of course, the most important closing that can come now is proof of communication between Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na.

Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo‘s ‘Tippy Toe Kiss’ from cable channel tvN ‘Queen In Hyun’s Man’ which recently ended has been selected as the ‘Best Kiss’ by single men and women in their 20′s and 30′s.

Dating service Ium conducted a survey against 1,083 people in their 20′s and 30′s in celebration of ‘Kiss Day’ June 14th. The results showed Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo’s ‘Tippy Toe Kiss’ from ‘Queen In Hyun’s Man’ as the best kiss with 39% or 422 votes.

The kisses that follow are Kim Ha Neul-Jang Dong Gun‘s ‘Cherry Blossoms Kiss’ from SBS TV’s ‘Gentleman’s Dignity’ (25%, 271 votes) at #2, Han Ji Min-Park Yoochun‘s ‘Kiss of Tears’ from SBS TV’s ‘Attic Prince’ (20%, 217 votes) at #3, and Ha Ji Won-Lee Seung Gi‘s ‘Refrigerator Kiss’ from MBC TV’s ‘The King 2hearts’ (16%, 173 votes) at #4.

Ium’s PR director Kim Mi Kyung commented, “It looks like the reason why Yoo In Na-Ji Hyun Woo couple’s ‘Tippy Toe Kiss’ was selected as the ‘Best Kiss’ #1 was the recent surprise confession which was a big news which received much interest from the singles in their 20′s and 30′s.”

The question on the minds of the fans for the past couple of weeks since Ji Hyun Woo dropped the bomb at the wrap up party/fan meeting on June 7th has been “Will Ji Hyun Woo become Yoo In Na‘s man from ‘Queen In Hyun’s Man’?”

There have been cryptic messages on Yoo In Na’s radio program ‘Yoon In Na’s Raise the Volume’ that without fail, all the fans read into and were told not to. Ji Hyun Woo, who seemed to have disappeared after the confession, broke his silence and said bravely “I would do it again, if I could do it again.” There was the official statement from YG that there was no official statement. The fans have only been guessing what was going on on Yoo In Na’s mind. And now finally, Yoo In Na spoke up about Ji Hyun Woo and his very public declaration of love. Yoo In Na seemed shy but was open and honest about the story that captivated the fans.

On June 18th, Yoo In Na mentioned Ji Hyun Woo on KBS 2FM’s ‘Yoo In Na’s Raise the Volume’. Yoo In Na sounded as lively as always and opened up to say, “I know you are very curious so instead of beating around the bush, I will tell the story about him directly with his name.”

Yoo In Na continued, “Today, there was something I wanted to say” then she laughed as if feeling a bit shy about all of it. “Well, should I start?” Yoo In Na opened up and said, “I very naturally needed time to think about it. If I could, I wanted to talk about it after I was completely ready for it.”

Yoo In Na calmly continued her story. She shared, “First of all, I found out about the feelings during the drama. I thought that it could be confusing when you get into the character on the drama. I didn’t want that. I also wondered, ‘Should I really be dating?’ so I said, ‘Let’s put it aside until the drama ends.’ Ji Hyun woo was understanding and thoughtful and we were able to finish (the drama) without any issues.”

Yoo In Na talked about the day of Ji Hyun Woo’s confession on June 7th, “At the huge confession, I was out of my mind.” Ji Hyun Woo at said at the wrap up party/fan meeting of tvN‘s ‘Queen In Hyun’s Man’, I wanted to make this confession in front of the fans who really like our drama. I really like Yoo In Na. Please look forward to us with kind hearts.” It was a surprise to Yoo In Na as they had not talked about it ahead of time. Yoo In Na was careful responding, “After we finish this event I think we’ll have to have a serious talk.”

Yoo In Na said, “So after it ended I asked him why he did that. He said that he never wanted anything so much in his life. He said he never pestered his mom for things he wanted, ‘Mom, I want this’, ‘I really want this’. Even as an adult he never said, ‘I want this car’ or ‘I want this clothing.’ He said that for the first time, he really wanted it, he didn’t want to lose it. I was taken aback by it but it was also so pure that I was grateful. From every word and his gaze, I could feel that he really meant it. I felt his truth from the fact that he wasn’t calculating about everything but just mustered up the courage.”

She continued, “It was obvious that work would be affected too and I felt careful about it. I was lost worrying about many different things. Then (my) mom said, ‘The world can be more beautiful than you think, so trust them.’ She also said to let go of everything and think. So I decided to think just about my heart without anything else in mind.”

Yoo In Na made a decision, “‘Is this really the love for me?’ I wondered but I got the faith. At first I asked Hyun Woo ssi to give me a week but I contacted him just a couple of days ago. We walked in the park together and I said, ”Queen In Hyun’s Man’ ended so let’s start ‘Yoo In Na’s Man’.”

An internet media outlet had reported earlier the same day that Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na were in a relationship. Apparently the two of them had been captured on a date at a park in Boondang, Gyeoggi-do. It was reported that they looked affectionate with their arms around each other much like any other loving couple. Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na looked happy together. From a couple in love on tvN drama ‘Queen In Hyun’s Man’ to a real life couple, Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo truly have all eyes on them.

Yoo In Na further stressed on, “Something has moved along but there is nothing that has been hidden. I was thiking of talking about it.” Yoo In Na relayed to Ji Hyun Woo, “I like (the word may be interpreted close to love in this context.) you. And I feel certain. I am so grateful (you) gave me that faith too.” As she confidently expressed her feelings toward Ji Hyun woo, Yoo In Na’s certanty could be felt. Yoo In Na also drew attention adding, “If Ji Hyun Woo ssi is listening, please stop smoking as you promised. Smoking is bad for you” already expressing concern for her boyfriend.

On KBS Radio FM’s Yoon In Na’s Turn The Volume Up that aired on June 18 at 8:00 p.m, Yoon In Na officially announced that she is in a relationship with Ji Hyun Woo.

Yoo confessed that she recognizes Ji Hyun Woo’s heart towards her during the shooting of Queen In Hyun’s Man and said, “I like him. I want to have a good relationship. I really like his pure heart.”

This radio broadcast aired in video as well. During her confession, she kept on smiling and showed excitement. Yoo expressed her feelings, “How about acting crazy and do whatever you want to do? Then life would be a lot more abundant. I’m so happy today because I am with you all. This is such a special radio show.”

After making headlines for over a week following Ji Hyun Woo‘s public confession, and a suspicious stroll through the park together, actress Yoo In Na finally admitted that she and Ji Hyun Woo have started dating.

On June 18th, Yoo In Na opened up her radio program KBS COOL FM ‘Yoon In Na’s Volume Up‘ by stating, “There is something I would like to say on ‘Volume’ today.”

“I knew that this would obviously affect my work, so I was extremely cautious,” she began. “Before thinking about the end result, I asked myself if this was the kind of love that I could attempt. If I wasn’t completely confident, then my work would have been that much harder, but I found that confidence.”

“I agonized over this for about ten days, and we decided to simply and purely respond to our hearts,” she continued. “Two days ago, I called Ji Hyun Woo who calmly waited for me through a very anxious situation, and while we were walking in the park, we decided that he will stop being ‘In Hyun’s Man’ and instead, start being ‘Yoo In Na’s Man’.”

Yoo In Na cautiously admitted their relationship and added, “I like him, I am confident. He gave me that confidence. I want to be in a beautiful relationship, more than anyone else.”

It's official. Actress Yoo In-na is dating co-star Ji Hyeon-woo from the drama "Queen In-hyun's Man".

Yoo, who also hosts a radio show, spoke for the first time since Ji announced he was in love with her at a fan meeting event for the drama on June 7.

During KBS's "Yoo In-na's Turn Up the Volume" radio show, the 30-year-old actress said she never meant to hide the fact that she was seeing her co-star and explained the paparazzi photos from a day earlier that captured the two on a midnight date at a park in Bundang, Gyeonggi, where Yoo lives.

"I planned to tell you all on the program. I like him a lot, and when he confessed that he liked me back, I was really excited. I am so thankful that he had the courage to say that he liked me", Yoo said on the program.

And in case her beau was listening, Yoo said, "You should quit smoking. It's bad for your health".

A day earlier, when photos of the two started circulating online, YG Entertainment said Yoo would make an announcement about them to fans herself.

Recently, a blurry picture of the two famous love birds out in public was revealed through a post on an online community message board.

In the blurry photo, Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo were seen wearing baseball caps, white shirts, and jeans walking side-by-side on a date.

Along with the photo, the person who made the post wrote, “The two were out on a date and in such a sweet world of their own that even those around them weren’t able to interrupt the couple to ask for autographs.”

Other netizens had shared their stories as they too had spotted the duo in different popular areas like Daehangno, Bundang, and Dongdaemun. The onlookers witnessed them doing usual couple things such as eating together, watching movies, shopping, and even exchanging couple rings.

Th photo shows Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo giving off a ‘couple look’ as they were both seen wearing a white shirt, a jean, and a cap.

The user who uploaded the photo wrote, “It is said that the couple visited the busy streets of Dongdaemun, Bundang, Daehak-ro, and Cheongdam-dong. The two were spotted shopping, eating together, watching a movie, and even getting a matching white-gold couple ring with their initials engraved.”

Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na couple who publicly announced their relationship, had a date at a concert.

Previously on June 30, they went to IU’s solo concert, Real Fantasy that was held at Suwon’s Culture Hall. Yoo In Na visited the site to cheer for IU’s first concert.

On that day, IU said, “There is a beautiful woman visiting us here tonight.” and pointed at Yoo In Na, which made the audience frenzy into applause. IU invited the couple on stage, by saying, “Ji Hyun Woo is here with us as well.”

Yoo In Na received thunders of applause when she showed off her sexy dance due to IU’s request. Even though they were embarrassed, the couple held hands and revealed their relationship.

On July 1, a representative of the concert revealed to Starnews, “Yoo In Na visited Suwon Concert to cheer for IU whom she is close with. IU invited them on stage, and the fans had a good time.”
