Are women really required by law to take/use their husband's surname once they become legally married?

Any negative repercussions if they opted not to, and stick with their maiden name instead?

yung iba sa business or commercially like Doctors or Lawyers lalo kung kilala na yung surname nila sa business na ginagawa nila at sa place na yun maiden name pa rin ginagamit nila pero sa licenses, etc surname na ng hubby gamit nila.

If you choose to keep your maiden name, you won't have the same last name as your kids.

i keep my own name. hubby and i talked about this medyo disagree sya sa simula about keeping my own name but he realize what i have to do,he didnt care anymore

pinadalhan ko lang ng notarized marriage certificate to change my file sa social insurance, health card and drivers license

changing surname meaning changing all cards including credit card, too much time consuming and costly.

its been a long long time i am married ,relationship hasnt change and i own my name.
