    Chucks,Vans, or topsiders?

Please help me decided on what kicks should I buy next.

Already 4th year HS this June 13, So basically I'll have CAT as a subject, that means... JEANS on FRIDAYS! YAY!!
That means I need a new pair of shoes to use. I need something sturdy yet stylish.

    TIA

Vans Authentics, they'll go well with almost anything. Topsiders are more for shorts and chinos.

it would depend on your sense of style. but vans is the safest to go for. and it goes well with almost any kind of casual ensemble.

I have all three and they all serve different purpose on how I want to dress up for the day.

It is definitely all about functionality. I like Converse (or Chuck Taylor's) the least. They look ghetto. They don't offer support like a boat shoe or a slip on like Vans but I still wear it for afternoon meet ups. Very casual and laid back when we will just lounge around.

Vans is decent and somewhat comfortable but not as comfortable as a Topsider aka boat shoes. I like them a lot as they are practical and casual. I love their prison edition the best- three velcro straps but with more arch support unlike Converse.

I love my boat shoes. I guess it depends on who makes them. Well, boat shoes are for boats. Mostly used during summer and when on boats. They don't scuff and leave ugly marks on boat floors. Water and skid resistant. I love them.

me too i have those 3 but my chucks gets the more mileage. i once told my younger cousins if they are gonna pick just 1 shoe to cover their whole wardrobe.... it's gonna be the iconic chuck taylor.

among the 3 - boatshoes are the least permanent fixture, last time we saw them in the wild was the 80s.

I currently own none of these :P

But I would say Vans Authentics first, then Chucks/Purcells if you are younger/more casual, boat shoes if you are older or prefer dressier outfits.

Vans in neutral colors (navy, grey, etc.)make for a slightly cleaner fit. The Chucks/Purcells toes can be distracting, so they're more for super casual outfits.

Personally I prefer my white Supergas or my desert boots to any of the above.

why are boat shoes included in the list?

does the CAT allow participants to wear sockless shoes???

while still young.. if your into it, go for classic chucks.. you can never go wrong..

kasi when you get a bit older.. in your late twenties to thirties, hindi na masyado bagay ang chucks na yan..

pang tretorn/top siders ka na nababagay kapag ganung age ka na..

    for me.
