READ THE BIBLE...TO KNOW GOD and FALSE TEACHINGS OF ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

hey guys..I made this thread to warn Catholics out there like me..

lumaki ako na ang relihiyon ko ay Roman Catholic..isang araw bigla ko na lang nakita sa internet yung mga false teachings ng Catholicism...i don't know who wrote those article but one thing is for sure... they said that some of the teachings in Roman Catholic Church are false and contradicting in the Bible..I know that internet is not reliable source but I believe them because they support their explanation with Bible verses...dati akala ko Catholic lang ang tama...pero ngayon alam ko na kung bakit may ibang religion like Protestant or Born Again...because some of the teachings in Catholic are absurd or nonsense thus veering away from the very meaning of the texts written in the Bible...you could search in the internet the false doctrines of Catholicism..and you will know how blasphemous and idolatrous Catholics are (sorry to say)...so i encourage you to read and study the Bible because it will be our defense (together with our faith to God) against the false...sa Bible pa lang winarningan na tayo ni Lord sa mga false teachings...read the following:

"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ." -Colossians 2:8

"Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them." - Hebrews 13:9

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth , and be turned aside to fables." - 2 Timothy 4:3,4


"'But in vain do they worship Me, teaching the doctrines the precepts of men.' "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men." He was also saying to them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition." Mark 7:7-9

i would rather be a Protestant who rely on Bible only rather to follow Roman Catholic which is based on Bible and tradition(which we do not know its history thus we do not know if all doctrines are true)

gusto kong lumipat sa Protestant or Born Again kaso di ko pa alam yung pagkakaiba ng dalawa...

mag-isip po tayo..yung iba sasabihin jan na ang pari lang ang nakakaalam...well pwede tayong makinig sa kanila para di tayo pride...pero don't treat them as if they are always right...let's use our wisdom and freedom and don't forget to pray to God for guidance and strength

Whose interpretation is right who is wrong? what is the basis, how do you interpret, was there any hard fast rule or a determined specific way of determining or interpreting it. I am pro communion, i respect the existence of other religion, but i cannot think but pity those who do nothing but try to establish their faith by trying to defame the other. By doing so, what good exemple have you done, was it written on the bible that you have to criticize so you would thrive? Can you not just worship on your own and live the Catholics in peace or any other religion. It goes to the old adage a noisy can is absolutely empty.

What is your evidence that you are in the right place, prove it with convincing evidence, but if you would just cite passages, them Catholic can cite as well so with the others. Live in peace, so let others live in peace. Worship they way u want, but let others worship the way they want. Let God decide to whom He is pleased, it is not ours to judge who is right or wrong...

If you are not please with the Church, leave it, but leave it in peace. You are free to find your way and your faith. I my self I have some criticisms but if some part has problem it is not the entirety of it. I tell you, and I bet my life, show me a perfect religion, one with out any flow. remember, even the holiest of all priest, ministers, Rabbi, imam, pastors etc. they still commit mistakes.

Go find your faith, or establish your own religion, but you dont have to attempt to defame one, for it will never go down, this church has endured centuries of persecution yet it survived,.

My prayers for you brother, go find your way, you are never locked up in the church, you are free, as you are always free

i'm just defending the truth that the Catholic has false teachings...my point is..we must not just obey and obey because we might never know that we are going to a wrong direction..I respect some teachings in the Catholic church..i criticized to defend the truth..i criticize to inform and not to annoy somebody well if anyone here are annoyed..i apologize, sorry...what about my evidence that i'm in the right place? well my faith to God, I already have faith..Catholic faith and faith is different..

that is why i used this site...because if i would be doing this face to face it may not be reverent as Jesus would want because some people will be angry easily...that is why from the very beginning of my post..I said "to warn" so people would think..i do not intend to hurt someone's feelings..if so then sorry.

i'm not saying that Protestant, Born again or any religion as perfect religion...in many religions of the world...I can say that there is no perfect religion..I also respect other religions because we are meant to be one as Jesus wants.I know in myself that Catholic would never go down as other religions would do..and fyi fame is not necessary for a religion to succeed...thus if im defaming Catholicism it is because of its false teachings,...and let's accept the fact that Catholic is not always right for it is equivalent to being pride...let's be open-minded so we would know the truth...

Religion is not Faith. If you do not want to follow the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, then don't. Wala namang pumipigil sa iyo na paniwalaan ang gusto mong paniwalaan. Very little leeway for independent thinking/interpretation. Idagdag mo pa ito sa pagiisipan mo... If you were really a Catholic as you claim to be, then you would have known that the Bible was not written by God but by long-dead peeps who were inspired by that One Being they consider their "Almighty". Thus, their writings were the product of their times, which was replete with the then-prevalent biases and prejudices and poor knowledge of how the world worked.

I am a Catholic but do you think I buy that the world was created in 7 days? Duh. But that doesn't mean the Bible is full of s.h.i.t. What you should understand is that it is the nature of man to give explanation to everything. We hate things that we can't understand which is why early man created mythologies, tales, legends, etc just to explain why there is thunder, why there are two huge mountains in Rizal, why the moon waxes and wanes, why there are tides, why there is day and night.

In reading the Bible, what a real Catholic focuses on is the spirit of the writings in the Old and New Testaments. For example, the Old Testament mentioned something about forgiving your brother not seven times but seventy-seven times. Does that mean that we should count until the 77th before we answer with a two-fisted attack? Hell, no. It only means that we should be patient with our bros and neighbors. This "pacifist" approach is not only embraced by Catholics but other major religions as well.

Remember, the Bible doesn't answer "how." It answers "why."

Do you know what is the one word that summarizes the whole Bible? It's "love." Love God, love your neighbor, love yourself. So, in this sense, where does the Bible err?

More than the people who think they know it all (duh), the thing that irritates me more are people who spew memorized verses from the Bible without knowing their real intent and spirit.

Ts. the bible is a compilation of scripts worn by different authors. in modern terms.. Parang blog ng ibat ibang tao na pinagsama. Because there is no one author there be no single flow of teachings. And because of the multiple authors, there will be teachings that will contradict each other.

This is why the bible has spawned multiple sects of christianity.

Ts.. Magka utak ka nga. Religion in todays modern society, is a personal choice. Huwag na lang paki elaman ang kanya kanyang dios.

And most importantly, never quote the bible... You are breaking the 3rd commandment. Let words come out from you as you and not in some body else just to make yourself look good or Important.

it will be a more peaceful world if there's no religion and people will focus on humanity and philosophy instead.

people will not say "This is the right thing and I did the right thing because god said so"

Instead, people will say "I did the right thing because I know that it is"

religion makes people narrow minded and act like a puppet. they are driven by fear of god. but what if there's no god? will they still do the "right things"?

unlike if a person knows what he/she believes whether there is a religion or not to guide them, at least they are using their mind and their heart on knowing what is right/wrong.

i dont totally bash religion since i've learned the basic morality from it. i just hate those narrow minded religious people who quotes everything in the bible... not just the bible... even koran or any holy book. it was written in the ancient times, so some of the teachings when applied are meant to cause discrimination, aggression and disrespect to women. But still those religious people accept it bec. the holy book said so! narrow minded people. ugh!

Christianity and Islam both have Judaism at its roots. That's why these 3 have been killing each other for centuries. Since I believe Judaism is just a folklore, the rest of the two that stems from it are folklore as well.

I just think it's funny that God would choose the Jews as his "chosen people" in that little desert, sent his only son to die there, and sent the last prophet in that same isolated desert when halfway across the world, the Chinese and Indians in that same period already have more advanced civilization, and where the most concentrated population are located.

Of all places these prophets and son of God could've appeared, they chose a desert lived by backward nomads. Why? Is it the same reason why UFOs only appear in farms and trailer parks where backward people will believe just about anything?
