May profile effect pa pala to:

    University of the Philippines
UP Diliman is the flagship university of the UP System. It is the administrative seat of the system as well as an autonomous university in its own right. UP Diliman is not only the home of diverse colleges, offering 94 graduate and undergraduate courses, it also runs several centers of research, many of which have been declared by the Commission on Higher Education as National Centers of Excellence.

As UP looks forward to the centenary of its founding in the year 2008, UP Diliman affirmed its own commitment to modernizing its facilities and services. Many of the libraries are already computerized and are providing automated services. It has also identified specific growth areas, foremost of which are in engineering education, interdisciplinary programs such as Material Science, Technology Management and Archaeological Studies and International Studies. In concordance with the UP System's plans of serving the population in Northern Luzon, UP College Baguio will be expanded into an autonomous university, while the UP Extension Program in San Fernando will be upgraded to provide programs in technology training.

With the strengthening of its research base under an Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development, the construction of a Science Complex and an Engineering Complex, the development of various colleges into National Centers of Excellence, and an outpouring of investments into modernization, UP Diliman is poised to reassert its place among the leading universities in the Asia-Pacific region.

    Ateneo's Profile:

    Ateneo de Manila University
To understand the soul of the Ateneo de Manila University -- what shaped it and where it came from, where it is going and where it can take you -- it is essential to understand its motto, Lux in Domino, or "Light in the Lord."

From the letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians (5:8), these words capture the spirit of a way of life which the Ateneo holds up to her sons and daughters as their best contribution to the work by which God transforms the world. To be "light in the Lord" in all fullness demands moving insistently and deliberately towards God as the center of a person's life, identifying the issues that such a centering poses, and then moving out to the world to find ever new ways of constructing the edifice, cultivating the garden, painting the masterpiece, that God is unfolding in one's life.

It is a call to BE that light of the Lord in the world.

The Ateneo de Manila University celebrates its 145th anniversary and 145 years of the return of Jesuit Education to the Philippines on December 10, 2004.

December also begins the 5-year countdown to the Ateneo?s 150th anniversary, its sesquicentennial, in 2009.

The university begins preparations for its sesquicentennial by returning to its roots: by remembering the Ateneo?s history and celebrating the things that make the school distinctly Atenean: what we cherish, what we fight for, what we believe.

    bumaba pala lahat sa ranking

    UP - down 6 spots
    Ateneo - dooooown 21 spots
    DLSU - dooooooooooooooooooooooown 38 spots
    UST - dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown 41 spots

FYI, dapat 87 ang Ateneo, 143 ang La Salle, and 149 ang UST.

look at the QS list and compare the scores of UP and Inha University.

tied sila but with different scores. UP: 54.96 while Inha scored 53.8.

obviously they forgot to put UP on the list (hence the previous debacle).

then they inserted UP and just tied it with Inha para hindi na ma-disturb ang rankings ng other universities.

I think this is more of a concern of the faculty and administrators, rather than of students and alumni. Lol.

This survey is such a joke.

^ Yep, At ang nakakaloka dyan, joke at flawed na nga ang survey eh npinagpipilitan pa din ng iba dito na mag-join ang UP.

  16. #36
While the previous UP administration has criticized the survey for its flawed methodology, the ironic thing is that the new UP System website includes the QS University rankings in its "About UP" profile slideshow.

    http://www.up.edu.ph/index.php/about-up

I don't get it. UP is doubtful about the QS rankings but UP uses the rankings to reiterate the fact that UP is the number one tertiary institution in the Philippines.

BOBO kasi yang si Pascual! *******-*****!
