3 out of 20? Is that the percentage of the educated to uneducated filipinos?

3 out of 20? Is better than 0 out of 20, may pag asa pa din ang bayan, kahit papaano.

I admire Chiz and Lito Lapid even they voted to convict.

    Lito Lapid: for his humility
Chiz Escudero: for his act of signing a waiver to open his accounts to show that he has the moral turpitude to convict CJ Corona guilty.

    To Bongbong, Joker and Miriam:
Thank you for giving us hope and showing all is not lost. We know its very difficult to stand for your principle when popular opinion is against it. For that, I really admire the 3 of you.

Reading the explanation of Enrile to justify his guilty vote against Corona, I would say, he’s politically rhetoric in justifying a vote based on mob rule rather than of conviction.

He was eloquent in lambasting the prosecution from the day of instigation of the impeachment process until the day of securing evidences which the whole nation witnessed deceptions and hypocrisies. He mentioned the false accusation of 45 properties and the unbelievable $10 to $12 million in 82 bank accounts. And as he implied, no way can the government can chase Corona on these illusory accusations.

But where did he base his guilty verdict? On the erroneous declaration on Corona’s SALN based on the latter’s admission himself. The three who acquitted Corona agrees with the erroneous SALN but questioned the gravity of this offense as impeachable. Enrile need not to say it clearly but he found a way (Fariñas termed it “palusot”) to justify a guilty verdict vote. But that guilty vote justified not only his vote but the whims of the President and his family, the bullying to the Supreme Court, the unparliamentary and politically immature impeachment in the House, and the unlawful procurement of evidences among the instances that he mentioned in his speech. And it’s likewise clear that he wanted to remain the President in the remaining term that he has in the Senate, otherwise, he would likewise have been “impeached”. Let’s not be hypocrites: money is the medium of fluidity no matter how rhetoric the explanation would be.

Baloney, the evidences are used to justify their convictions and not the other way around. And it’s a matter of the appreciation of evidences because these do not lie. Miriam was right with all the quasies. And I saw the picture of Joker Arroyo and Bongbong Marcos. If you would only know how the former had suffered on the hands of Bongbong’s father then you would realize how politically mature these two are.

I admired Enrile when he stood up on his political conviction against Cory in 1986-87. He was even jailed because of it. But with the way he stood up for Erap and now with Noynoy? My golly. Old butterfly.
I agree with you +10000.

If you're maintaining a house in California then you must have a dollar account for maintenance expenses together with the 2-3 SUV's in California. Just wondering...

*Ayoko sana ilabas kaso napilitan lang ako nung nagmalinis kayo.

^ omaygawd, is that Chiz Escudero?

    Dear Lito Lapid,

    hugs.

Does he have business in Vermont, CA?

To the senator judges you have just set a very high standard for declaration of SALN since omission even if done in good faith is impeachable if the amount omitted is a huge amount.

I'm expecting that this is just the first to eradicate all corrupt officials and please sign the waiver and disclose all your accounts para magkaalaman na starting from the President down to the lowest rank for a public official.

Now let's see if this "Daang Matuwid" is really not subjective.

gentlemen and ladies of the senate (with the exception of miriam bongbong and escudero), you are the best reason why we should have a unicameral congress. i hope charter change succeeds and they abolish the useless senate.
