Listen, you senators ... People have a high respect (and disrepect) on your position... If you really are deserving to be a Senator then do what is morally right. Ascend to a higher place of honor, not to the higher pay of pork

Senator Judges,

If you vote for conviction, when my children ask me in the future why Corona was convicted, I want to be able to give them a "good" reason. Please explain how you arrived at your individual decisions, because at this point, I can't see any justifiable reason in and of Corona himself that warrants conviction.

Please don't give weight to exogenous reasons: that this is what the people want (how do we know what the people really want?), that this will serve as a lesson to other officials (why "sacrifice" a person for the benefit of others). Render judgment based on the person himself and on what he has done.

And please remember that the end does not justify the means. If we throw caution against the wind, we might just become the very monsters we are trying to slay.
