DEREK Ramsay did the opening number of TV5’s trade launch at Resorts World’s Newport Theatre. He was supported by Daniel Matsunaga, Arci Muñoz, Victor Silayan, Valeen Montenegro, Gerald Sison, John James Uy, Malak Shidifat, Rico Blanco.

Derek is pleased that his action-fantasy show, “Kidlat” is rating very well and full of commercials.

It's the first time that the press was invited by any network to a trade launch and TV5’s Go5! proved to be a show of force and numbers. They introduced all their forthcoming shows, including new soaps like “Minsan May Isang Ina,” “Limang Daliri ng Diyos,” “Love of My Life,” “You are My Destiny,” “Silay” (set in Negros). It seems now that Willie Revillame’s show is moving to the noontime slot, they need more soaps to compete directly with the soaps of GMA7 and ABS-CBN.

    --------------------------------

That's what I've been thinking about Alex Gonzaga. Putting her in dramas is a WRONG MOVE for TV5. She's so much better in her element: comedy.

Ilagay sa hatinggabi si Alex Gonzaga kung bibigyan ng palabas. If not don't give her anything. Tagal na niya proven na wala siyang appeal.

True! Mas okay naman mga afternoon dramas ng GMA. Also, di pa naka-recover ang ABS afternoon line-up since Wowowee was canceled.
Kaya, meron opportunity for TV5 to gain a foothold in daytime with Wowowille starting. Maybe an original drama after Wowowillie before the Korean dramas.

Ano kaya kung ilagay nila ang Forever Barkada sa timeslot na iyon? OK ba?

Dapat ilagaya ang Forever Barkada sa Sunday katapat ng mga youth oriented shows.

Ano ang primtime line-up of TV5 now or after the new drama joins Kidlat? Movie pa rin ba?
Pwede nila i-try sana yung show ni Sharon and/or Jeepney Jackpot/other game show after the two dramas. Para maiba. I think it is still a good idea to counterprogram the teleseryes of ABS and GMA with alternative programming. To change Pinoy TV viewing habits, they have to start somewhere. With Willie now at noontime, this is a good time to try it out I think.

    following that logic

    ...ABS-CBN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > than GMA

since per national ratings...panalo naman ang ABS.

pero honestly...walang magandang show sa afternoon be it ABS or GMA.

mas consistent lang ang programming ng GMA, thus the better ratings sometimes (mostly Mega Manila)
