need help with HD movies

may tanong lang po ako sa mga nag ddownload ng HD movies dyan. i usually download 720p or 1080p movies. pero when i play it my laptop or tv, may black borders sa top and buttom. anong format ba yun walang ganon? i have tried .mkv .avi .mp4 formats

It's not on the format -- it's on the aspect ratio of your video file. HD files are usually 1600:900, do you use VLC? You can just press "a" on your keyboard.

karamihan sa movies ay may ganyan. for viewing purposes at sa art ng cinematography.

tama si google. walang kinalaman ang format sa aspect ratio.
ganito shinoot ang mga movies. maski sa mga dvd, blu-ray at itunes ganyan makikita mo. pati sa mga music videos.
ang tanging paraang para mawala ang black bars ay zoom.

personal home videos at tv shows lang ang laging walang black bars.

You can read about those black bars (letterbox/windowbox/pillarbox) here. In short, the bars appear if the aspect ratio of the video does not match the aspect ratio of the display. The black bars appear in order to preserve the aspect ratio.
