Question Kung ibabalik ang US Bases, Clark & Subic, papayag ka ba? Yes or No

DABARKADS!

Erap where are you? You are very brave to send out US bases now China is here where are you?

With the US closing down most of its overseas (and some stateside) bases, I don't think they're interested to set up a permanent base like Clark and Subic.

I think the US is more interested in seeking "temporary basing rights" where they can have access to our ports and airports.

It would be cheaper for them since they don't have to pay "rent" or other expenses associated with maintaining a permanent base such as Clark or Subic.

No for me.

Tutal naman yung constitution at form of government natin gusto natin igaya sa kanila. Not to mention colonial naman talaga tayo.

former senate president jovito salonga i learned is very old after losing his wife a year ago or 2 to some sort of cancer and is more bedridden now.he cant answer to these allegations anymore. I read somewhere here in LAFI that it was Ferdinand Marcos who authored the exit of the US bases decades before he was toppled.I reckon he(FM) planned that by weighing the pros and that he could have already envisioned the Philippines as an Asian power come 1991.

Jovito Salonga and Erap voted NO to the US Bases in 1991 simply because of their presidential AMBITIONS the following year.

  17. #17
From what I remember, that time bases in the US were being closed due to lack of funds. Also, the US was giving "military aid" in the form of overpriced, surplus equipment worth around $300 million for the use of the bases while paying Singapore a higher amount for rental of port facilities for repairs.

As an Olongapeno, I am neutral with this one, sure magbo-boom ang mga business kaso dadagsa nanaman yung mga Cheap Pinay at yung mga bastardong puti na anak nila.

well, ngayong matagal nang wala ang US bases, na -realize din ng US na they didn't need those bases in the philippines after all, the region is stable and has been stable since they left.

    WTF?

This region is so stable that majority of Filipinos wants the U.S. bases back.
