Jessica Sanchez is actually a very bland singer. walang sariling style unlike Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Madonna. no surprise that she lost since American talent scouts are actually looking for "artists with their own unique style" nowadays and not a Whitney Houston wannabe like Jessica Sanchez.

yan din ang reason kaya hindi matanggap-tanggap sa Hollywood and Broadway auditions sina Sam Milby, Antoinette Taus at G Toengi- masyado silang bland, walang sariling style at maraming mas magagaling sa kanila. wala kasing sariling identity at style ang Filipino artists- panay mahilig mangopya ng style ng iba.

Even Jessica herself admits that she lost because she did not sound unique.

Question: Were you surprised by the result?

JS: Not at all. I believed Phillip was going to win, not that I think I'm bad, but he has a huge fan base. He's really an artist. He sang so many different songs, and whenever he sings sounds like him. That's what it takes to be a real artist and I'm so happy and proud of him.

What's her background though? From the looks of it she's more American than Filipino despite her Filipino blood, I mean she was born in and raised in the US so that makes her an American.

I don't get why Philippines and Filipinos are so heavily invested with her? Plus I am sure she sees herself more American than Filipino; which is the right thing to do. Same as many people here with Chinese or Spanish blood identify themselves as Filipino.

Maybe instead of us grieving or investing heavily on her why not focus on the talents here? Yeah know maybe instead of looks they can look at acting or musical talent and not have them leave the Philippines just to get famous as a result (i.e Charice).

uhaw kasi tayo sa recognition.. at pAra naman daw maging relevant ang pilipinas sa international music industry.. pati yung mga local networks grabe maka report kay jessica sanchez.. as if inamin nya na para eto sa pilipinas! pero di nga nya nabangit ang pilipinas kahit saan execept kung may mag tanong na pinoy tungkol dun..
