Because the real wiki, youtube, facebook, twitter is ban in China. The only way to access these sites is through VPN.

The reason they blocked it so that their people will not get affected by the bad publicity other nation is writing about China. Also they are very sensitive when it comes to topic like "Tain An Men Massacre".. this can never be read by the new generation. that is why wala rin Google sa China.

Other than that, they have their own version of

    Ebay - Taobao
    Paypal - Alipay
    Facebook - RenRen
    Wiki - CN Wiki
    Google - Baidu

If you ask me, mas ok nga ganun..kasi the lesser their citizen knows the faster to a better economy.. walang riot, walang revolution...etc.

When this uckers starts marching the Roxas boulevard and Rizal Park down to Makati and and other strategic AFP bases in Manila and along your homes -- just remember the basics; shoot far and step on the gas. Spikes are easy to make with the use of a simple welding machine.

Expect regular weapons drop like this by the NATO forces.

Crunch time and Penoy fast tracks the country's diplomatic approach to China and approves the appointment of Arroyo's Ambassador to China Sonia Brady.

It's funny that Penoy blames GMA for practically surrendering Philippine sovereighty in exchange for scandal tainted loans but then appoints her ambassador to China.

CA confirms Brady as envoy to China, Dellosa as AFP chief

MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATE, 5:30 p.m.) The Commission on Appointments on Wednesday confirmed Sonia Brady’s nomination as Philippine ambassador to China and General Jessie Dellosa’s interim appointment as Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff. The CA also confirmed six chiefs of mission of the Department of Foreign Affairs and 31 officers of the AFP.

The confirmations of Brady and Dellosa were unopposed.

During the deliberations on her nomination, Brady said the Philippines should pursue a Code of Conduct in the disputed Scarborough Shoal to prevent the escalation of tension between China and the Philippines.

This code would guide the behavior of all parties and all sectors, including the military and the politicians, she said.

“If we have the proper Code of Conduct, the standoff would not have happened,” Brady told the senators and congressmen in the powerful bicameral body.

China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) are signatories to the Declaration on the Code of Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, a non-binding document that could serve as the stepping-stone document for a binding Code of Conduct.

The Philippines is pushing for the creation of the Code of Conduct.

However, other ASEAN member-countries have agreed not to take any action in the area in order to preserve the delicate equilibrium there, she said.
