Two senators recently admitted that they have separated with their wives. They are Chiz Escudero, who has presidential ambitions; and Koko Pimentel, who will be battling for this precarious toehold in the Senate. These relatively younger senators believe that it is better to separate than live false lives for the sake of what the public might think. Or their wives made this decision.
At any rate, when do we have the divorce law? I'm sure these senators can easily get an annulment. But annulment is a very complicated and expensive process not available to ordinary people. We need social reforms in our laws, senators.
